I've just ordered a few final pictures for the photo album. Emma finally managed to crawl and Jimmie was so excited because he had been waiting to do some riding on her back. Well, first Jimmie felt like doing rodeo when he tried since she wasn't cautious at all. Second she's way to quick to take pictures of her crawling so all of them are a bit blurry
I'm glad Jimmie's still here to experience what we call the "fifth season" here in Cologne: Carnival!!!! Today we've been to the parade organized by local schools and the districts of Cologne. It's not as big as the one on Monday, which is the climax of carnival season, but I like it much better, especially now that we have a little baby. Jimmie enjoyed it and also caught some "Kamelle" (sweets).
I took Jimmie for a very little sightseeing tour around the famous Cologne cathedral this morning. We found this plaque near the historic city hall. It says: This is where President John F. Kennedy spoke to the people of Cologne on June 23, 1963.
We had rather springlike weather yesterday so I took Jimmie and Emma for a walk. They like to snuggle into the cosy sheepskin to stay warm. Emma is wearing her new beanie. Oh, and have I mentioned that Jimmie got a scarf for Christmas?
