I took Jimmie and Emma to a baby concert by the Cologne philharmonic orchestra society. They both loved it!

I took Jimmie for a very little sightseeing tour around the famous Cologne cathedral this morning. We found this plaque near the historic city hall. It says: This is where President John F. Kennedy spoke to the people of Cologne on June 23, 1963.

We had rather springlike weather yesterday so I took Jimmie and Emma for a walk. They like to snuggle into the cosy sheepskin to stay warm. Emma is wearing her new beanie. Oh, and have I mentioned that Jimmie got a scarf for Christmas?

My mum gave me a pattern book with cute crochet things for kiddos. Only I'm not a yarnie Smiley Luckily Jimmie is around to assist me and advised to start with a very simple project

We took Jimmie to a Christmas sing-along concert with THE local band. Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take pictures during the concert since it was broadcasted so we only got a before picture

Here you can watch the concert http://www.ardmediathek.de/das-erste/gott-und-die-welt/lieder-zum-advent?documentId=18652370

That is one yummy looking pancake!

Here's Jimmie  with some of the goodies we made. It was great to have him around because Emma is not very patient with me not devoting attention to her. So Jimmie took my place whenever she complained  Smiley

We decorated our living room. I especially like candles on the window sill - it makes the room so cozy in the evening. Here's Jimmie next to my favourite candle holder - the Christmas pig  Smiley

Jimmie also helped making Christmas cookies but I haven't had time to upload the pictures from my camera.

Jimmie helped wrapping Christmas presents and lent us a hand making shortbread houses.

Show us something local!  It can be something distinct to only your area, a famous landmark, or just something locals like to do!

Jimmie got to see the famous Cologne Cathedral. Apparently it's the most visited landmark of Germany - I didn't even know that. I really like the cathedral because it's such an impressive building. It took about 600 years to be finished, well, they took a 200 years break in between though. Anyway, I can't wait to show Jimmie the inside. Maybe we'll even go to attend a service.
