2  Texas / Texas: Central / Re: Looking for fellow craftster's in Austin Texas! on: March 10, 2010 03:59:39 PM
what day and time is good for everyone (I currently am free all times of all days except before 2pm on sundays, I suggest 2pm to whenever on saturdays for those who work or go to school), we could make a meetup.com profile to keep up with each other. A suggestion for a loaction to get together is :

the Green Muse Cafe
519 Oltorf Street West, Austin, TX

it is a coffee shop , they have wifi, it is in south austin, also have good food, beer and wine, so something for everyone. Anyone up for this?

I would be willing to go to this meetup. Let me know if a meetup profile is made.

But i have a question, anyone interested in becoming my pen pal? I would like to get a swiss pen pal since my boyfriend is from there and I would love to visit one day. Pm if interested.

5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Crafty Penpals! on: October 27, 2009 11:49:23 AM
Name: Cimber
Age: 18
Location: Austin, TX
Occupation: Waitress-Starting culinary school in January
Crafts: making some simple jewelry, scrap booking, paper crafts, some sewing, wanting to learn others.

I would enjoy a pen pal from anywhere but I can only speak English fluently. I enjoy tv but would prefer a good book. I like going out and dancing my heart out to the dance music they have here. Its an up and coming scene. I enjoy the night life and am very much a social butterfly. I can talk for hours and not even stop for a breath it seems. I'm currently without a job because of the economy but i would still like to craft small gifts for my penpal along with letters. Well I guess thats its really. I want to leave some to the letters. Pm me if interested...

7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Bottlecap Charms on: October 19, 2009 09:35:43 AM
Just another question for everyone who makes these... do you fill it up to the top or not with your resin or whatever fill you are using?

I found out when wanting a runny image and using a charm is the best looking for a necklace or a charm of some sort, where it is the focus piece.
Also I found spray painting is the easiest way to cover the backs if you want to sell them without the companies getting angry. I want to take this craft back up since i have collected many bottle caps.

What is an awl? Never heard of it and i have no idea how to puncture these things. lol
