So cute! Teemo is my favorite LOL champion, the things he says are so funny  Grin
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Wavehaven LARP group crest on: June 25, 2012 08:24:08 PM
thanks guys! it was a time consuming project (took me 1 semester of working on it thru my accounting classes), and it would't have been something I would choose to do on my own, but I am happy with the end result. When the whole quilt is put together with all the other crests created by different people I will be sure to post a picture here so you can see the finished project.

I belong to a Fantasy/medieval recreation group called Amtgard, which is popular all over the US and in a couple of other countries as well. I don't do much fighting, but I really enjoy the arts and crafts aspect of the group. The other members are super encouraging and inspire me to reach new levels of skill with my art. This embroidery piece was created as a part of a larger quilt that contains all the crests from the various lands of Westmarch (California).

if you are interested in Amtgard check it out here. It is a free, non-profit organization and everyone is welcome!

4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Book of Shadows Swap Round 2 on: June 18, 2012 07:22:23 PM
Sorry about the lateness of these pictures, I was finally able to pick up my package today! I went to visit my parents for a couple of days, and while I was gone, one of my neighbors snagged my pagacked pick-up ticket from my front door. They gave it back to me today... even though i've been back all week  Roll Eyes
Happily, I will be moving in 2 weeks!

anyhoo...here is my lovely package from Strawberry!!

I LOVE this leather covered book!! I just filled up my old dream journal, and this will be a perfect replacement next to my bed!

A book on crystals by one of my favorite authors:

3 glass bottles for my herbal extractions with one of the printed pieces of fabric:

the 2nd printed fabric with matching pin (currently on my book bag), radioactive symbol stencil and ouija board mints:

my Book of Shadows lives inside of a three ring binder, which is more than a little over-loved at the moment (and extremely disorganized). Strawberry provided me with, not 1, but THREE new binders, with customizable and printable dividers and labels! She also included a 3-ring hole punch, glue, and a printed packet of information on Gem Therapy, Magickal Healing, and planetary correspondences:

Thank you so so so much Strawberryh, what an amazing package of goodies!
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Make me an apron swap on: May 02, 2012 06:18:13 PM
Wow, everyone's aprons are so cute! I received mine from Annigirl last weekend, but I had the package sent to my Dads house (I had a package stolen from my front door where I live) so I didn't get to open it until yesterday. The wait nearly killed me  Wink Here are the pics!

Full view of the shape and pattern. It's a super cute black and white polkadot with red accents. The top straps are doubled up and she did the cutest mushroom applique on the bottom right corner.

...please excuse my post-salsa dancing hair, it's a little out of control...

here is a close up of the fabric and mushroom:

Such a cute apron! when my partner saw me wearing it, all he could say was "dayyyyumn!" Thank you so much Annigirl, you are a great swap partner!  Grin
6  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: BoS swap round 2 SU: 22/04/12-30/04/12 SE: 30/05/12 on: April 24, 2012 07:25:47 AM
I have a pinterest but I can only pin off of other peoples pins. I can't get my pin button to work on google or any other sight. I even have people I'm following that I don't know how they got there. LOL  I'm just going with it.

Some websites (like facebook) have codes imbedded that don't allow you to pin from them. Usually with google image search if you can't pin the picture directly, try opening just the image in a new tab and pinning from there. Pinterest is so much fun, I feel like i'm less of a hoarder when it's a digital hoard.  Roll Eyes

Yay! I'm glad you like it! the stretchy things are headbands, teehee. I made all the extras out of the fabric scraps, but I still have some left over for my fabric hoard  Wink
