Less than 48 hours! how are you doing SunnyDays? I'm actually getting married at 10am, so I'm down to 36 hours. Yikes. It's amazing how fast decisions get made in the last few days

Once the wedding is over I'll definitely get pictures of all my crafting up. We did succeed in making our 6 ft cupcake tree, the invitations were raved about by everyone, and I'll be goccoing thank you cards too. And then it was just a bunch of little touches like flower lights and stuff. I hope it all comes together!

Um, 12 days?! We're still working on the thank you gifts for the groomsmen (those darn pocket squares!) and need to design and print the certificates for the bridesmaids' gifts. I have a feeling that the next few days will be a lot of putting centerpieces together. We stopped in at the country clerk this afternoon to apply for our marriage license. Things are coming together fastly!

We got our license today too! Dang, 12 days is killing me. We're getting stuff done quickly now that we're under pressure. We took a break tonight to watch the spurs/hornets game, it was a nice stress relief, even though the spurs just couldn't sink any shots. It was nice to do NOTHING wedding, I highly recommend it!

Hmmm Frogseye, I should check out if any counties near us are lower. Good idea Smiley Wow 3 weeks left and you haven't ordered flowers? Eek! And I can't believe you haven't seen each other in 7 weeks! It'll make the wedding night that much better huh ? *wink wink nudge nudge* Smiley

Well, that and the fact that we're both virgins, the wedding night should be interesting, to say the least:) The county I live in happened to be cheap, but I looked around at others. Looks like $41 is basically standard for the state of Texas, so we just decided to get it in my county to save $5. We're so cheap.

And my flowers I'm ordering from farmstogo.com, and they only order 3 weeks out, so its ok. I'm doing them myself, with the help of my FSIL who TA'd flower arranging classes in college, so we're having them delivered two days before the wedding and arranging them the day before. Maybe I'm crazy! At least we're just going with straight gerberas, makes it easier

ours is $36, but $41 everywhere else in the state. We did strategic planning on where to get it:)

holy cow, 3 weeks left. and Sunnydays is so far ahead of me:) This week (along with writing a 10 page paper and taking a final in "intellectual history") I need to:

sew the bustle straps on my dress, since I don't like the one on there.
make my petticoat/crinoline
figure out how the heck to do my hair and makeup
order my flowers
order cupcakes (yikes, running out of time!)

Then, sometime in the next 3 weeks we are building the cupcake tree
Ahh, I think I can do it. I'm actually visiting my FH right now, and it's great to put it all in perspective and remember all that matters is we're getting married, and the rest can be crap:) (we haven't seen each other in 7 weeks, but at least we are in the same state now!)

One month for me too! Fixed my invitation fiasco, and the rest of them are all going out today. That was a mess of paper cutting and my arm is ridiculously sore from the rotary cutter:)

I just need to rebustle my dress, make my petticoat, clean my dress, make the guestbook, and build the cupcake tree and I will be done with all the diy stuff- i think. I hope. sunnydays is so far ahead of me!

I know rhettsmommy used them (pretty sure it was her) for her save-the-dates and was pleased. I'm pretty sure they stacked them all before they were dry and so it smeared ink everywhere, but that still doesn't explain the really clear foreground but super pixelated background on the picture, especially since I uploaded a picture that was 300dpi, as per their instructions. Just an irritation, but it will all be fine. good thing I way over ordered paper from paper source!

I love the idea of a photobooth, and I've seen lots of great ones done homemade. Just make sure someone is in charge of keeping an eye on the camera...you never know, especially with employees of the reception venue, etc. hanging around. Better to be safe than be one of the horror stories

Sorry thekster, no advice:( I'm still a bit confused- is the spray paint part going in the cake? And could you bend the L so it didn't curve backwards and show the dowel? It's hard to tell not seeing them in person. I hope you figure it out though!

I ordered invitations from printsmadeeasy.com- that was a mistake. They were streaked in black all over them (like, black smudged all over our faces and necks and the words), and the picture was really pixelated in the background, but not the foreground. I was pretty disgusted that they even mailed them to me. So, I'm sending them back, and may end up goccoing another 200:( oh well, at least I got out gocco'ed ones to everyone who may have to travel, the rest are just invitations for the reception, so I don't mind being a bit behind schedule.

So, be careful ordering from them. I'm just sending them back, I don't have time to wait for another poorly printed round.

definitely worthy of a "this rocks"

did you come up with the pattern yourself, or use one (if so, can you share the link?) I'm pretty sure I have to have one of these:)

Thanks!
It was the fiance who made it but to be fair, he didn't code the whole thing. He customized a wordpress (http://wordpress.org/) site to have all the features that we needed. That way I could edit content too. I'm a complete dunce at html!

I just had my first shower last Friday and the second one is this Saturday and we're 7 weeks away yet. The first was a great time. It was a Tupperware shower so I was able to buy all the overpriced plastic-ware that will last forever.

Oh my goodness. 7 weeks! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Wow. I guess I'm 7 weeks away too, I didn't even realize until you said that! I'm crafting invitations like mad, so hopefully I can get them out by next weekend...ish. yikes!
