2. Painting a thrifted toddler bed John Deere colors
Here is the bed in John Deere Green. We bought actual tractor spray paint so it would be authentic. Wink They were out of yellow, so we just went with the green. The boy loves it.

I threw the still un-ragged rag quilt on there. I'm not sure that I want to throw it in the washing machine at home of if I'm going to take it to the laundry mat yet. lol.

15. iPod cozy
I adapted from a tute that I found.
The flap turned out longer than it was supposed to, so I didn't add a button to the front. The button loop also turned out wider than it was supposed to. Other than that, it works just fine. Wink

4  John Deere Rag Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by lilmissdangerous on: March 23, 2010 09:36:02 AM
I made this for my son's 3rd birthday. His birthday isn't until May, but I wanted to make sure I got it done it time  Wink
I have clipped all the seams, but I haven't actually washed it yet, so they don't look very ragged yet.

Laid out on my full size bed

13. Pillow case bag and wallet
(bag is my own pattern, wallet is from a tute)

pictured with two boxes of cereal inside, to show size

with matching wallet

The stitching on the bottom corner of the wallet got messed up because my sewing machine jammed up for the millionth time, but I decided to just leave it instead of ripping it out. lol.

14. Pillowcase bag from Martha Stewart

6  What should I put with this fabric? in Quilting: Discussion and Questions by lilmissdangerous on: March 16, 2010 06:53:49 AM
I am making a quilt for my sisters graduation present. I ordered this fabric:
http://www.allbrands.com/products/abp24036.html?

I got one yard that i black with white skulls and one that is white with black.

I need another yard or so of black fabric with a white design and white fabric with a black design. There is also an accent color, which I'm most likely going to use green or turquoise.

Anyway, I was thinking polka dots or stripes, but am wondering if that would be too much with this pattern? I also thought of doing a few different fat quarters so I could get a good variety of patterns. My mom suggested pairing them with solid black and white blocks.

Input and/or fabric suggestions please.

I'm working on a little sketch of how the blocks are laid out right now so you can see.

7  Rag Quilt for my Grandma in Quilting: Completed Projects by lilmissdangerous on: March 15, 2010 06:23:04 AM
This was my (real) attempt at making a rag quilt. I made a smaller (15"x15") blanket to throw in the carseat with my infant first, but this is a lap size one. It is approximately 34"x34". I've never made a real quilt either, I'm actually very limited in what I have sewn. Tongue

c&c always welcome.

Blocks cut and laid out in pattern:

Sewn together, seams waiting to be clipped:

All done!

I am so behind on this thread! I've read through like page 100 since I last posted. I wanted to say I'm amazed at the progress that some of you have made already and I totally feel like a slacker. I've taken a small break in crafting right now because I had my baby last week (23rd) so I've been a little preoccupied with him. Smiley

Today I made a pair of earrings on commission that I've been meaning to do for a while. The lady gave me a necklace and asked for a pair of earrings to match it. I didn't quite have the perfect color beads, but these were close enough IMO  Cool

9  "Dandelion Daydreamers" Longies in Crochet: Completed Projects by lilmissdangerous on: January 02, 2010 10:07:00 PM
I made these for the little boy that hubby and I are expecting this month. It was the first time using this pattern for me. I like how they turned out. I just need to weave in the ends on the cuffs Smiley
