1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Ombre Blanket on: January 02, 2009 06:48:04 PM
Pattern/Idea from Last-Minute Knitting Gifts

It's knit one slip one on one side, and just straight knitting on the other side. It's supposed to be used with alpaca yarn, but I am too cheap for that. I used wool/polyester. It is so warm and thick and snuggly and I love it!
2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / bath bomb - what did I do wrong? on: December 13, 2008 09:14:32 PM
I thought I did everything right. I followed a recipe, put it it n a mold for 15 minutes, tapped it out, and left it sitting out. It looked perfect. Almost an hour later, it looked like it exploded or melted!
I had mixed 1 1/2 cups baking soda with 1/2 cup citric acid, added a few drops of color, spritzed with witchhazel while mixing. and put it in the mold. Did I do something wrong?

inspired by The Big-Ass Book Of Crafts by Mark Montano.

5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Lemon Tea Sugar Scrub on: September 22, 2008 03:59:12 PM
I got this recipe from the amazing book Big Ass Book of Crafts.

It smells really yummy. I just finished making it, so I haven't used it yet, but I've heard a couple of rave reviews from other people. It was so cheap to make, especially since I got the epsom salts at the dollar store. This is my first post; hope you like it!
