11  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Looking For Pattern? Ask here! on: August 19, 2012 09:44:15 AM
I'm getting married next summer and fell heads over heels in love with this dress:

Anyone know where I can get a pattern similar to this - or at least a sewing pattern for the dress style?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry for being quiet! With spring break, exchange projects, cold & flu season, gorgeous weather, the new BF, etc. I've been AFK for a while.

Still haven't received the last package. I feel really bad for Mod35tBabe and all the effort she put into her patches to then have them lost in the mail somewhere on this planet...  Maybe you can post pictures so everyone can at least admire your work?

You did a great job on it! I love your idea of the top and flap, making your (well, your daughter's) stuff more secure than if it were just tote style. I may have to steal that one...

Okay, then that's reassuring to know... in a way.

Excited but starting to get nervous about my last set of patches arriving... Mod35tBabe sent before I did and she received a week and half ago Undecided
20  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Tasty ways to jazz up popcorn? on: February 10, 2012 08:02:52 PM
This is my favourite spice mix for popcorn and potatoes. It's almost salt-free (the only salt is from the steak spice) and I like to prepare it ahead of time so I always have some handy.

  • 1 tablespoons steak spice
  • 1 tablespoons mustard powder
  • 1 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjoram (or oregano)
  • teaspoon dill seed
  • teaspoon coriander seed
  • teaspoon caraway seed
  • teaspoon ground sage
  • teaspoon ground rosemary
  • teaspoon ground thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder

1. Combine all the spices together and grind them until fine.
2. Pour into a dry frying pan (no oil), and toast, over medium heat, about 5 minutes. Stir constantly but slowly (careful not to burn).
3. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
