41  C is for Cherry in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by PinkPug,INK. on: February 24, 2009 08:32:27 PM
I made my first ATC! It's pretty simple compared to my usual (busy) style, but that's why I like it.

Any comments or ideas on how I can make future ATC's better?  Huh

42  Fairy Wings & Cupcake Onesies for co-worker! in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by PinkPug,INK. on: February 24, 2009 08:08:16 PM
I've been wanting to try freezer paper stencils for a while now & what better opportunity than making onesies for my co-worker's new baby? I used this tutorial (http://www.neitherhipnorfunky.com/?p=106) but I'm pretty sure there's some on craftster too.

I love how the fairy wings came out! (The wet spot on the bottom is because I got paint on that part & tried to clean it off before it dried...)

Here's the cupcake one. I got this idea from a Studio G stamp set that I used to make Valentine's Day cards. Smiley

Now that I've tried this out, I'm totally going to make myself some stenciled shirts!  Grin

43  Valentine's Day Baking! in Dessert by PinkPug,INK. on: February 16, 2009 02:48:04 PM
This year I had a small Valentine's Day party at my house. My roommate made dinner & I took care of dessert.

I love how the cupcakes came out! I used heart shaped silicone baking cups & it's just Funfetti cake mix with cream cheese frosting (colored with maraschino cherry juice) & heart sprinkles.

Here's two more pictures because I'm so proud!

I also made sugar cookies & roses.

I normally make the roses out of red velvet cake mix but they didn't have any at the store when I went there an hour before the party so I had to settle for strawberry cake mix.

Everyone loved the food & dessert! Comments are welcome.  Cheesy

44  Re: Altered Journal-a-long in Craftalongs by PinkPug,INK. on: September 22, 2008 07:16:27 PM
I did 3 pages today- in between some much needed laundry & ironing! Back to work tomorrow.  Sad

Here's my orange page, which looks a little dark since my paint wasn't watered down enough:

The phrase in between the stars & orange says "Life is not going to live itself." There's also a little pumpkin tag attached to the right corner which has a really cute Thanksgiving prayer on it & this is the back of the tag (the sticker says "munchies" on it):

This is my yellow page (The thought bubble pointing to the giraffe was a phrase from the book which says "love is stronger than anger.") :

& here's the green page:

I couldn't get a better picture of it but the stickers on the left say "cocktails" & "wonderful" & on the lower right hand side it says "live" "in the" "moment". There's also a tag on this page of a frog:

I love my journal so far! It's so colorful!  Grin I have a question though, should I be posting the pictures in thumbnails instead so they'll load faster on everyone's computers? Or is this ok? I don't want anyone's computer to crash while loading my pictures- I'd feel guilty!

I discovered this 'topic' a few days ago & have been admiring everyone's work since then! I really wanted to start my own journal but I've been really sick the past two weeks so couldn't really leave the house to get one & didn't have anything suitable laying around the house...or so i thought! Last night I was trying to list some of my old books from school online to get rid of them & I found a perfect one for an altered journal!  Cheesy This also happens to be my first 'picture post' on this website since I am new!  Grin I don't have a scanner so the pictures aren't that great but hopefully you get the idea.

here's my WIP title page:

& since I spent so much time looking at all your wonderful rainbow pages I decided to start my new journal off with some of my own! Here's my red page:

They're nowhere near as good as all the other stuff on here but I thought I'd share anyway.   Undecided
