This year I had a small Valentine's Day party at my house. My roommate made dinner & I took care of dessert.

I love how the cupcakes came out! I used heart shaped silicone baking cups & it's just Funfetti cake mix with cream cheese frosting (colored with maraschino cherry juice) & heart sprinkles.

I also made sugar cookies & roses.





I normally make the roses out of red velvet cake mix but they didn't have any at the store when I went there an hour before the party so I had to settle for strawberry cake mix.

Everyone loved the food & dessert! Comments are welcome. 

I did 3 pages today- in between some much needed laundry & ironing! Back to work tomorrow.

I couldn't get a better picture of it but the stickers on the left say "cocktails" & "wonderful" & on the lower right hand side it says "live" "in the" "moment". There's also a tag on this page of a frog:



I love my journal so far! It's so colorful!  I have a question though, should I be posting the pictures in thumbnails instead so they'll load faster on everyone's computers? Or is this ok? I don't want anyone's computer to crash while loading my pictures- I'd feel guilty!

I discovered this 'topic' a few days ago & have been admiring everyone's work since then! I really wanted to start my own journal but I've been really sick the past two weeks so couldn't really leave the house to get one & didn't have anything suitable laying around the house...or so i thought! Last night I was trying to list some of my old books from school online to get rid of them & I found a perfect one for an altered journal!  This also happens to be my first 'picture post' on this website since I am new!  I don't have a scanner so the pictures aren't that great but hopefully you get the idea.
