1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Merit Badge Swap on: February 14, 2010 11:51:43 PM
My idea is that we could design merit badges for each other based off of our partner's accomplishments. Each swapper could come up with a list of a few dozen achievements or facts about him/herself. Merit badges could be completely handmade or embellished blank patches that have been purchased (preference could be specified in the questionnaire). Sashes for badges could also be part of the swap, if people want to do that. This could be a fairly small swap, maybe 5 patches plus the sash.

Date is negotiable and I'm willing to organize.

Any takers?
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Mental Health Swap on: February 11, 2010 08:41:30 PM
A while ago (August '08, IIRC) there was a mental health swap. I missed out on it, but would really like to participate in one. I'm not really sure of any details yet, like when it could happen, or what size of swap it would be, or really anything. I guess that would be up to everyone else who is interested.

So, is anyone else interested in a mental health/wellness swap?  Smiley

3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Half-Life and Portal Stamps on: February 06, 2010 10:37:53 PM
I've seen snowed in this weekend due to the Snowpocalypse of 2010, so I took the plunge and made my first stamps. I've been on a big Valve game kick lately, so I figured why not make some Valve related stamps! I'm super happy with them and wanted to share.

7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Removing a pattern? on: April 23, 2009 10:38:21 PM
I made the mistake of using iron-on transfer paper to transfer an embroidery pattern onto a piece of linen. (I won't do that again!) I tried ironing it off, but it's only starting to scorch the fabric while the transfer remains. Is there anyway to remove the transfer without scorching the fabric anymore?

9  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Kurt Halsey Pillowcase on: December 07, 2008 01:18:44 PM
I made this months and months ago, sometime in late 2007 (I think), way before I joined Craftster. But, it seems like it's okay to show off things you made a while ago. The bird, the words, and the heart are from the Kurt Halsey set, and the swirls are from, well, honestly I don't remember. They're either from the little starter box set, or from the sublime stitching book. I didn't sew the actual pillow, though. This is probably one of my favourite projects. I'm still super happy with how it came out. And it looks prettier in real life.  Smiley
