21  wall hanging for my sister in Completed Projects by Ainadaliel on: April 16, 2005 10:56:24 PM
I recently spent three weeks in Canada last month, and I stayed at my sister's apartment. We were shopping at the Dixie Outlet Mall (I love that mall, it's full of outlet stores) and we came across a wall hanging she wanted to buy for the kids' room. I told her I could make her a similar one. So here it is...I'll be sending it to her soon. Smiley  (excuse the Lion King bedsheet. I'm a big fan of cartoon bed spreads.)

WHEE! A fellow CREATIVE ZEN MICRO user! Smiley And in white, too! Smiley

I made a similar cozy for my Creative Zen Micro a month ago...just thought of posting it now. It looks bulky because I used 1/8" thick furniture foam to pad it (I'm a bit paranoid that I might drop it while in its case). I used velcro to close it since I'm afraid that using a magnetic snap might screw up the insides of the machine. Smiley

25  Wrist cuffs! :) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Ainadaliel on: February 06, 2005 08:07:16 AM
So I had a lot of material left over from the guitar straps I'm making (geez don't all my other projects come from those? LOL!) and I decided to make cuffs. Smiley these are my first two cuffs...they close with a gripper snap (I'm still kinda pissed off...I brought these to the market to have the gripper snaps put in, and the guy who did it was prolly so sleepy he didn't exactly align them).

Anyway, here they are Wink Let me know what you guys think!  Grin Grin Grin

26  first belt, ala VANS "off-the-wall" in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Ainadaliel on: December 28, 2004 03:34:33 AM
Someone ordered a black and white checkered guitar strap from me, and after I sourced the fabric and made the strap, he wouldn't reply to my text messages about getting the strap anymore. Since I had a lot of left-over fabric, I decided to make a belt for a party I'm going to tonight. It's my first belt, and I'm absolutely inlove with it! Smiley I don't have any Off-The-Wall sneakers to go with it though, so I'm going to have to settle for my blue checkered Golas! Wink

i'm flirting with the idea of selling these belts when I get to make a bunch. Smiley How much do you think they'll go for? The fabric I used is Velboa. Smiley

27  Re: Jordy Bag - Square Bottomed Lined Bag Tutorial in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Ainadaliel on: December 02, 2004 08:30:33 PM
Has anyone tried adding FOAM to their jordy bags?!

A really famous designer here in the Philippines makes totes and other bags that are pretty much made with the "Jordy" pattern, but she puts foam/padding to make it softer. I was trying to get a feel of the bags a few days ago--basically there's interfacing, but not too hard, and then foam...I think it's about 1/8" foam.

I tried making one bag with foam :

It was a b*tch to sew the foam on, I had to put strips of fabric on top and below...but I was wondering if anyone else tried doing this? Maybe you can share some techniques?
