Not that I'm trying to distract from the "incident" earlier today or anything, but...

I received a great card from Stifflersmom today! Unfortunately, my scan doesn't do it justice -- those stars are quite sparkly in real life. Yay! Sparkly! I give you "Dem Bones":

Thanks so much! It's great!

And, in answer to an earlier question... no, I am not in marketing. But with my positive spin on project delays and my "Look at the pretty picture!" distraction technique, perhaps I've missed my calling? Wink

Check out the sweet-ass card I got from rackycoo today:

I LOVE it! Thanks so much!

It's made from an actual playing card, which is very cool. And those rivet lookin' bits are 3D. Are those glued on there, Ms. Coo?

Oh, I love this swap! It's so much fun to get little pieces of art in the mail every few days. It's also great just to watch this gallery and see what everyone else has gotten. Every card has been so amazing (I'm sorry... I feel like a broken record saying that, but... well... it's true!)

Yay! I got an awesome card from taloola today! I love the simplicity of it, and the stitching along the edges is great -- I love the way it feels (am I totally weird for feeling up my ATCs? Oh well.)

Now that I've planted that exciting image in everyone's mind, I'll distract you with a pretty picture of my card:

Thanks, taloola!!

I got my card from Bigmouth today! It's double-sided, which is very cool.

Here's the front:

And here's the back:

[Some of the letters on the back got lost because the paint stuck to the card. I kind of like the cryptic-ness of it, though. Smiley ]

She cut those hearts free-hand! I can't ever cut hearts without a template! I keep cutting one side, then the other (to even things up), then back to the first side... until there's no heart left. Sad

She also send me a Bessie Smith CD! I can't wait to listen to it and get inspired on that book I'm making for her.

What did you use to make the card, Bigmouth? I love the feel of it!

I received a beautiful "feathered friend" card from kaesea today.  Photobucket isn't behaving too well but I am trying to upload it.

I'm almost embarrassed to post my card, since it seems like everyone and her sister has these same rub-ons (I've never used them before and I happened to stumble upon these...  I guess I was the last to the party on this one!) (Where was my invite, anyway? Wink ) But... here's the card I made for dear gingerquilts:

I'm glad you liked it and I'm glad you like the envelopes -- I'm an envelope-makin' nut!

I received my book and card from Modus Operandi today! She did a really cool job with the construction of the book... I hope I can capture it here.

Heres the cool skeleton on the front of the book (note the blood splatters -- yessss!):

And heres a shot of the book with the pages open:

Here is the ATC she made in the book itself:

This is the cool construction... heres the ATC on the back of that same page:

And here it is, flipped over (note the awesome paper on the back of the ATC), sliding into its little pocket. The front of the pocket has a clear plastic window (what did you use for that, Modus Operandi?) that the card shows through (see pic above)!

Additionally, she sent me a greeting card that she made to match my theme. I love it! Although now that I look at it, my name under the skull looks like a label -- I guess this is me... in the distant future (I hope!)

Thanks so much for all of this, Modus Operandi. Your book will have a place of honor on the Shelf o' Bones. Wink

I'm not sure that my scan will do these cards justice, but here is my lovely collection:

Thanks so much to everyone who sent me cards -- I love them!

I'm not worthy. Seriously.

I got the most amazing card in the mail today from Phizzychick.

Are you ready? Are you prepared? Get ready to be wowed -- this card... just... well, no words.

Just look:

Wow. Thank you sooo much, Phizzychick.

I'll post a pic as soon as I can! Thanks!
You're welcome! I think I have a scan of that one at home, so if I get there before you get your cord back, I can post.

Ah, yes -- there was something else I had been meaning to post -- the card I sent astronogirl! I used grommets to poke holes in this, so if you shine a light on it juuust right, you can [sort of] make a constellation on the wall behind it! I couldn't get a picture of it in action, but here's the card:

It's a sewn fabric card -- I had the constellation fabric, and I was just going to use that... but then I realized that would be the most boring ATC in the world, so I came up with the (somewhat sketchy) "interactivity" aspect. Eh -- at least I had fun with it! Wink

You got 'Skulls', right?  I sent a half-dozen cards in one day...I surely hope everybody gets the correct card...

I'm a day late, but yes! Yes! That's my skull card! Isn't it fabulous?! I love it so, so much!

Also that day, I got this card from pjmclnj:

The scan doesn't show it very well, but the "lights" are iridescent and sparkly! Thanks so much to aliastriona_angerboda and pjmclnj!
