3  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 52 ENTRIES / Cinderella costume on: July 05, 2010 05:56:36 AM
I just stumbled across this challenge and decided to post a Cinderella dress I made for a Disney Halloween Party a few years ago. Sorry about the awful pics, they were taken before my craftster days so I didn't even think to take a full body shot. I'm pretty sure it says somewhere in the story that Cinderella gets absolutely steaming on her night out, so I did try and recreate this the best I could Roll Eyes

(Me and my friend who dressed as Belle!)

The dress was made the night before halloween 2005 from a king size bedsheet I found in a charity shop, along with two matching pillowcases. I also added a hula hoop ring in the bottom to make it really wide which did look pretty, but I ended up getting stuck between chairs/toilet doors/people a lot that night which resulted in me having to lift up one side of the hoop and trying to flash my bum as little as possible. Obviously didn't think this through haha!

Awwww! Bless, when I saw the thumbnail I thought- that's one tiny baby in that sling! haha! Its a beautiful idea, I love that your mummy kit doesn't consist of the pink-little-standard-bought-in-pushchair. Pleeeeeease do post the entire kit once it's done  Smiley
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: COME ON ENGLAND!! on: June 13, 2010 04:53:58 AM
How funny- I'm another German who will be watching the match in England tonight Smiley
Just about to nip into town to buy the material for my german-flag dress- I bet if we had walked into each other in the pub we'd have given each other a crafterly nod of appreciation  Cheesy what reactions did you get in Paris?
7  COOKING / Dessert / Re: My Mom's Rainbow Birthday Cake on: June 12, 2010 04:16:30 AM
Amazing! Those layers are so even, well done! I bet your mum's face when she cut open the cake was worth the effort Smiley
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Hot Water Bottle Cover on: April 24, 2010 09:16:20 AM
A little while ago I saw a pattern for a nurse plushie somewhere and immediately thought that I MUST make a cover for my mums hot water bottle based on it  Smiley I started sketching straight away and now, a good 4 months later, I finally got around to finishing it. Just in time for the summer, haha. She's got a bit of a conehead, but I guess nobody's perfect!

I'm afraid I can't remember who the original plushie was by...or where I saw it...Would have loved to give her some credit for it  Embarrassed
