I used real egg shells.

2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / My first large quilt! on: January 07, 2010 09:07:32 AM
I decided my newly married daughter could use a quilt for Christmas. I never made a quilt larger than baby size so I was a little put off. I dove in and with a little trial and error ( and a few tears)  I finished it just in time. I just had to share it.

I took a few more pictures but somehow they were corrupted. You can't really see any details in these pictures, but they are the only ones left.
I know I still have allot to learn, but now I know I can do it. I am getting ready to start a new one soon.
Thanks for looking. Any input appreciated.  Wink
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / First corset we ever made. on: August 16, 2009 07:49:48 AM
My daughter was visiting from Florida for a week and unfortunately we were low on cash. We couldn't afford to go anywhere special so I suggested we make something together. She said she wanted a corset top so we went from there. She picked the fabric and we got some instructions, that were a bit confusing from time to time. Lets just say there was some guessing here and there, but FINALLY we were able to make a close facsimile. Here she is. She is holding on to it because we still had to get some grommets for the laces.

I usually make bags or dolls. I haven't made many clothes so I am kinda proud of it and it was a learning experience. Any comments are welcome.
