2  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Tetris Mosaic = Strategic Management? on: December 19, 2010 04:54:39 PM
Hello everyone!

It has been a while since I posted anything, but I just graduated college and will hopefully have some more crafty-time now!
This was actually a final project for one of my business courses.  We were suppose to create some form of art that represented strategic management. I wont go into detail of how I made this represent that (although, I did it pretty well if I say so myself), but below is the first mosaic I have ever created!

(And yes, I noted in my paper that in the actual game they don't stack up unless there is a hole. My teacher probably thinks I am a nerd) hehe XD

Sorry for the bad picture.

C&C welcome!
3  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Etched Maker's Mark bottle on: September 14, 2009 09:07:39 PM
Ok, so for my dads birthday I decided to do something crafty. Maker's Mark bottle etched with UK (our favorite college team). He loved it. Although he couldn't believe his "little girl" bought him liquor. hehe

Comments appreciated!!

Enjoy!

5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Pirate swap!! XD on: August 23, 2009 07:38:31 PM
Anyone interested in a pirate themed swap?

I love everything associated with pirates. It was an instant fascination after the PotC trilogy.  =)
6  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Painted Mug on: August 06, 2009 12:20:13 PM
Ok, I'm not sure if this should go here or in the art section, but here goes!

Me and my friends go to this studio and paint pottery a lot and this was my first project! I haven't gotten pictures of any others yet, but if or when I do I will post! =)

I did not make the cup, however if this studio did actually let people make their own I would totally be up for that! To bad my only option is to take a class at my college and it is really expensive. . .

Anyways, Enjoy!

7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Bunch of stuff I did for a username swap! =) [lots of pictures] on: August 06, 2009 12:07:25 PM
Ok, so I my partner just got her stuff from my pimp your username swap and I thought I'd post it one here too.

BTW, her user name is Savage Pixie and some of these photos were taken by her. =)

This is a bunch of extras and a bucket with a hand drawn pixie

Here are a few more extra, the other side of the bucket also hand painted, a savage headband I made and of course some "my name is.." magnets

Some pj's I painted

The front of two shirts I painted. (Some of which I used freeze paper stenciling for and it was my first time I ever did that!)

backs

A hand painted tote.

The inside of the tote tells a story. =) Sorry for the bad pictures. It is refering to how the pixie part of her name came about.

Enjoy and comments are always welcome!
8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Stuff I did for a swap! on: July 27, 2009 02:48:05 PM
Rather than make several posts I just combined everything into one and put in the misc. board. Hope that is ok! =)

This is a bunch of stuff I did for the 100 facts swap a while back. Enjoy!

First off, a hand painted dharma mug. I ended up painting it like 5 times cause it kept chipping

Hand painted water can. I also sent flower seends. She actually used to as a flowering pot for the flowers, it looked really good!

Etched glass frame. Sorry its hard to read, it says "gagorific" and "Kirsten *heart* John" She told me me a few stories about them that made me gag of sweetness, and she liked my word, gagorific. =)

She collected ducks, so a hand painted lover duck and a hand painted doctor duck because she loved greys anatomy

hehe, a little purse thingy for her bedroom balloons. lol. this was on her wist and she likes monkeys. and the monkeys face and my placement of the velcro was just ironic considering what the purse would be holding.... lol

Anyways, comments are welcome!
9  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Etched frame-original design on: June 17, 2009 03:41:09 PM
Okay, so I just completed a disposable camera swap where I have to make a frame.  I have been dieing to post the frame for weeks but I didn't want my partner to find it!! haha So now that she has it I can post it safely. (btw, I borrowed the photos she took of them, thanks kidwithkemikals)

So this was my first ever adventure with glass etching!! I drew out a design then cut it out on contact paper, might I add cutting this design out with an exacto knife sucked. But, in my opinion so worth it! Smiley I was very proud of the whole thing!! =)

Close up of the frame and etching:

Everything I sent her (and the photo in the frame I did take, that surprised her, lol.)

Also. if you'd like to see our swap gallery, which is awesome go to:

10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Sculpy, shrinky dinks & crochet; what a combo!! on: June 11, 2009 07:14:13 PM
STUFF I SHOULD HAVE POSTED A LONG TIME AGO! lol.

Sorry for the horrid photos.

1. Sculpy Futurama Brain Slugs (one of my boyfriends Christmas presents)

2. Futurama Shrinky dink (Also one of my boyfriends Christmas presents, see a trend?) Also I made about 30 fancy name shrinky dinks for my cousins, I wish I had gotten a picture.

3. A crochet beanie. I made like 8 of these but this is the only one I have a picture of, ignore me! Smiley And yes, I made one for my boyfriend too. Smiley He likes crafty stuff.

And please give me a little more credit, these photos do no justice. Not bragging by any means, but these pictures are pretty hideous. lol
