im looking to put a vinyl like covering on some regular cotton fabric i have to make it "waterproof"..im looking to make a baby bib with it...has anyone done anything like this before? it would almost be like a oilcloth material, but you pick the fabric...i hope this makes sens...and i hope someone can help!!!! thanks guys!!!!  Grin

ok so i just signed up for a craft fair at the hospital i work at..its for employees only and it was 10 bucks for a table..ive heard in the past people make some good money at these things...im so nervous because these are co-employees..i have some stuff left over from a past craft fair..so ive made a schedule for myself..i must make something (s) each day..weve got over 4000 people working not counting patients and families that will be stopping by..im totally freaking out now that i just wrote that sentence...i must go to my craft dungeon and get to work...eat,sleep,work,craft....my life until nov 22... Wink

has anyone had problems with the post office lately? i mailed out my swap partners item on sept 23 and she still hasnt gotten it..i keep checking the DC number and we've both been to our post offices asking..my fiances employee sent an item around the same time from here to the same town and they havent gotten it yet either..im wondering if theres been a problem...this hasnt been a problem for me ever in the past...do you all use to the post office? or anyone use UPS or FEDEX? im starting to wonder about the post office...

ok so im still in the learning stages of knitting..a woman at work showed me how..she casted on and did the first "line"...then i took over..i did pretty well actually..so when i got home i went to the store about bought some better yarn..the stuff i was using just came in the kit i bought...i was able to do the slipknot, cast on, and knit..but when i get to the last stitch, the slipknot, it doesnt tighten like the others..it just hangs there..its not too loose either when im starting off..its pretty much right where it should be..and with storm ophelia coming this way, i was hoping to fill up my time knitting..any ideas? josh bought me a cd for the computer that shows you how to knit, but that part isnt mentioned..so im not sure what im doing wrong....any ideas?? help??

so my gram is turning 90 this year,,and shes "all there" and totally doesnt look her age! i wanted to make her something neat..i had thought about some kind of a shadow box with some family pics, and then i thought about a scrapbook with again family pics, trickets from differetn events, and i was going to copy some of her letter from the war to my grandfather and use those too...i never made a scrapbook before...any ideas on any of this? thanks so much you guys rock!!!

a friend of mine said she puts a beeswax on her thread when doing embroidery..i had seen it at joanns, but with me being a strict vegan, im looking for an alternative..of course, that is if i truely need to do this..anyone have any ideas on this? thanks so much!!!
