I think I love you...if you have a record I am looking for, then I really love you...
anyway, we are using them to hold all the kids' toys, shoes, clothes... basically all the kids' furniture excluding the beds are made of milkcrates. God bless 'em.
22  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re:Microbeadz Comic Magnet on: December 14, 2003 06:52:26 AM
My beads seem to bead up to two or three layers when I pour on and the pic doesn't show through. I try to push them down to one layer, but then they all stick together and come off.
A little help?

I am going to order after the holidays (broke and all that). I can't wait to get them so I can start doing it, too!! I picked up some beads today at the Rag Shop, so I can experiment.

Only one source has cited record melting as creating toxic fumes, and it was the "Life" section of the newspaper, so I don't know what to believe. I guess just open the window and pray!

FAO Schwarz has a barbie shoe tube. The tube is filled with water and barbie shoes and there is a pump that keeps the water and shoes moving, like a tornado tube. Maybe you could get to a Target or Spencers and get one of those lamps or water things like that and put the mermaids in it and voila! Conversation piece! Am I making sense?

I saw this on a website for (sit down!) $50.00!!!!
I made mine with loose-leaf paper rings from Office Max. They are, like, 6 for $1.50.
I took a metal kabob skewer and heated it with a flame-thrower-type lighter and pushed it through where the holes should be. A heated exacto could also be used to cut the record. I am hosting a crafting party tomorrow and this will be one of the featured crafts.  I covered the album cover with clear packing tape to cut the risk of water damage (I guess clear Con-Tact paper would work, too).
