8921  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Come With Me BACK TO OZ We are OPEN !! on: February 20, 2009 06:16:15 AM
I am totally jealous of your daughters ruby slippers.  Totally.  your kids are cute!
I came up with a trick to discover more about my parter, Ransom.  I sent her a word association game.   I thought it might help a bit, but it helped TONS!  I just came up with a few words I had in mind that had to do with crafts  wrote those down along with others and yay!  I've got 100 ideas now!  So if you are ever stumped for ideas for your partner, you can use that idea.  It worked really well!

Anyway.  now I'm excited to get to the craft stores....  1 week and 4 more days  and I'll be there !  WOOT!
8922  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: can this be fixed? (pic included to show you better what I mean :) ) on: February 20, 2009 06:09:18 AM
I'm going to make my husband do the cutting.  Me+powertools= scary and bad things happen. The wet sading i can do.  the only thing is my husband will probably take a month to get the cutters from the shop.. So once he finally does that, I'll post pics of the final outcome.  Thank you all for your advice!

so all I should do is chop it off with a glass cutter, then wet sand it?  well.  I suppose that should be easy enough!

Thanks!

lol I don't know a sniff about glass crafts.  Thats why i'm asking Smiley  But I could probably get my hands on a glass cutter and some proper sandpaper.  That would work I'm sure!

I've got this gorgeous pitcher, and the spout (that'd be what its called right?) is broken.  Can I fix this?  easily?  by myself?  or do I need an expert?
And if its not fixable, is it possible that I could melt it down and make a new pitcher out of it?  or is that waaaaaaaaaaay to advanced?  And if thats way to advanced what else could I do with it?  I like, and I don't want it to go to waste.

8929  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: button headband! on: February 19, 2009 12:44:19 PM

8930  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: Dog Hair Yarn (Image heavy!) on: February 19, 2009 07:03:15 AM
A friend of mine is going to brush out her dog in the spring, and hopefully we have enough fur to spin up to make a sweater for another friend of ours dog, who has short hair.  that way the two dogs can play in out side in the winter together!

I like the blue that you turned that yarn Smiley
