OMG  WD-40 will turn into super glue??!?!?!?!  yikes.
I still haven't  oiled my wheel, because I've yet to find anything that is suitable her in my tiny town.  But I will be taking a trip to the "city" on thursday, so I'll buy some then and hopefully get back at the wheel then!

8454  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Come With Me BACK TO OZ Deadline extended 1 week... on: April 07, 2009 05:48:38 AM
I'm still here, and I'll be sending on thursday.  It's all packed up and ready, I just haven't had the time to get to the post office.  I've taken up babysitting my friends 2 kids until June, and man are things ever intense with 4 children running around LOL  I can barely manage getting them all ready to go play in the back yard, I can't imagine taking them all on a walk to the post office... yikes! (they are 1, 18 months, 4, and 6)  But I don't have 'extras' on thursday.  so I'll run out then!

oooh a nephew!  how fun!  I've got 2 nephews and one niece.  (two boys of my own too)  Boys are lots of fun!
So I started to make my cake today.  And yes, I'm making my own cake.  Mostly to practice my fondant skillz.  My son is going to have a Wall-E birthday in a may and I'm thinking of making him Wall-E out of cake.  So there will be some serious fondant work on that one.  Or perhaps, I'll just make a figure out of fondant .....  who knows.  It will be Wall-E themed in any case.  Mine how ever, I'm still not sure, its got 3 layers.  Any sugestions?
8460  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Handspun Yarn Swap Round 2 on: April 06, 2009 01:32:00 PM
I'm one for down with a pattern.  To one person, a yarn my look like a scarf. to another it might look like a calomerty (how do you spell that thing again?  the one that goes around your head and ears? thats kinda like a head band only they call it different?)  Or a pair of mitts, or accent on a larger project.... etc.....  you get my drift.  I'm not sure if we necessarily need to add another item.  As I've said before, I'm in for a bit more fiber or spun yarn.  perhaps a larger quantity of roving or a batt, like 2oz skein and a 2 oz batt/roving?

As for Fathers getting sheep,  At one point before I started spinning or even knew it was possible,  He was going to buy me a sheep.  I love sheep. Maybe I should get him to get me one now.......
Also I'm jealous of you people who have things growing already :p  Natural dyeing....  oh such a dream... I'll have to wait until mid may for that adventure!
