8341  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: Overspinning like whoa on: May 13, 2009 09:06:02 PM
..... I've been stuck spinning long draw ever since I learned how... I just can't get back to my short draft unless I pay VERY close attention....  I've spun a merino top and BFL top long draw......  seems to work okay for me..... maybe I'm doing it not quite right too.....  Oh well.....  i'm sure I'll figure it out one day too!
8342  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: The random SPINNY babble thread :-) on: May 13, 2009 08:56:35 PM
ooh fun!  a place to yak about spinning where people understand!!!  I haven't spun anything lately, I've only got about 4 oz of fiber atm  Cry Cry  So, when I do spin, I want to fully enjoy it, because it wont last long!  If I save it, it will mean I can spin for longer right?  but I'm not spinning now... so really, I'm just procrastinating....  Does this make sense?  I tired and should be in abed but its one of those nights where sleep just wont come.
Anyway.  yay for fiber chat outside of fiber friday!

gasp! I wish I had seen this about 2 weeks ago when making my sons birthday cake!  I could have done this as the cake, and stuck with the wall-e theme on the outside...  ah well, I'm sure he'll have another earth related birthday at some point!
