ugh I know!  Its a rash and minor facial swelling I get when I handle it. Thankfully its not respiratory, cause that could be life and death stuff, right now Its just cosmetic, which is sad, but not dangerous LOL

That alpaca you have is gorgeous, and i can't wait to see what you spin up with it!

Holy cow.  this moved really quickly from this morning.....

...  Loudxmouse,  I've never spun cotton,  I'd love to try it...   Do you like raw alpaca?.... Wink Wink to our organizers   Grin

well...how raw is raw... haha
I don't think my roommate, aka grandma would be kosher with me washing animal bits in her white-carpeted house

Well, its dusty.  mostly its dusty, there is VM in it, but really not an excessive amount.  its definitely not white, I think it is from a white/brown alpaca.  I have some that I ran through the wash on Wool cycle twice, and it came out okay.  I could probably manage to wash it without reacting to terribly to it.  Like I could wear long sleeves and a hood and a dust mask (which is what I'm going to have to do to get it out of my house at some point anyway)  And then hop up on Benadryl  LOL

Its weird that once you come into contact with fiber arts, its addictive eh?  I can't get enough!  I know there is much much more that I need to learn.

made it home from the 'city' with lots of tiny things  Though I am hoping it fills 3 cups worth....  oh yeah, me and my partner agreed to 3 cups instead of 2, which is just enough for both of us it seems XD  Anyway, I have my container too, which is kinda blah right now, but will be funky awesome when I'm done with it!

oh so it doesn't necessarily have to be crafted with your yarn?  hrm... Thats a good question... now you've got me thinking!  But its to close to bed time... let me dream about that, instead of giant teddy bears coming to life and leading my child somewhere...... yeah weird....

that alpaca looks in much better condition then mine...  Did you wash and pick your already?  Also mine wasn't vacuumed  before shearing, so its really dusty.  It'll be a bit of work to get it looking nice.   I just wish I could touch it!
