8091  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Lace Wedding Blouse on: June 30, 2009 07:34:52 AM

I got the lace at an Indian fabric store (forgot the name) in Downtown Vancouver.

Note to self: look for an Indian fabric store while shopping in downtown Vancouver in september... that lace is really quite gorgeous......

I looked up stores until I remembered the name.  It was Rokko's Fabric at 6201 Fraser Street at 46th Avenue.  Happy shopping!  Though I must insist that if you are in Vancouver and fabric shopping that you must check out Dressew on W. Hastings, particularly the downstairs sales basement.  I just got great fabric for $1/meter there, and it is very wide fabric, so I got quite a lot.

rock on! Thank you so much!!!!  I really hope my Hubby doesn't mind spending a whole day fabric/fiber shopping......  technically its our honeymoon... 3years later, mind you... but yeah... I'm sure I can convince him Wink

le sigh...  and I went with ground, thinking it wouldn't matter... cause I've sent to the states via air, and the package I sent ground got there faster and it had further to go...   Ah well, it is on its way. just who knows how long it will take to get there...

me thinks this is going to be one kick as gallery!  V3nu5 (convince your hubby, it will be fun!), kinky, Savage pixie, Donniesgirl.....   I'm thinking mine might be one of the harder ones to craft for LOL.. And if Riechan joins, that might be tricky too...  I suppose it all depends on the questionaire.  But on first read, I can come up with so many kick as crafts for almost everyone!

8100  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Pickle Pops on: June 28, 2009 07:59:21 PM
Pickled onions are delicious!  let me go get the bottle and see what they are brined in....  Basically water, sugar and vinegar.  they are sweet-ish and have a bit of  bite, because well, they are onions...  and they are little white onions.  Delish!  Also, pickled eggs... not a fan of those either....
