8091  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: KNIT BATHING COSTUME (prototype) on: July 24, 2009 07:55:54 AM
i love that in this post that you covered package in the first pics... so much discussion of that in those shorty posts a while back Wink

That's right! I forgot about that! How rude, I have that happen a lot because I was "blessed" with G cup knockers. And...I can't really help having them. They are here to stay, I kinda like em, a little. Lot's of girls hang their whole freakin titty out in public nowadays. So don't let people make you feel like you should be altering your fashion to fit Victorian ideals, I guess. I say, rock the bulge! I like it, and who can say that David Bowie's junk didn't help our teen fantasy's out back in the day, huh?

Oh I didn't mean to be rude, I don't mind it at all...  Wink (where's the blushing emoticon?) I just thought it was funny, that he did that, i assume it was to make a point of the prior discussion.  No one seems to say anything about breasts on this site, but as soon as its a bulge in the pants it suddenly became vulgar or offensive.  I definitly don't think it should be hidden, nor is it vulgar or offensive, just ask my husband, whom I buy tight pants for Grin  I also applaud cubist literature for knitting such wonderful things that show off his assets  Cheesy

Oh no! You misunderstand, I didn't think you were rude, I think that it became such a focal point is not cool. Whoops! Sorry Smiley

ah no worries Smiley  Here I am again, making it a focal point.....  oh well.

8094  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Block dying ( I think thats what it would be called...) with wax on: July 24, 2009 06:57:45 AM
rock on.... Grin that sounds much easier then the wax, and with way less equipment to buy!  I've apliqued the curtains in SonA's  room, but I still have my own curtains and SonB's room to do too. they are just white.  But now that I know I can do it that way, shoot.... watch out curtains here I come!!!!!
8095  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: Fiber Friday - 24 July 2009 on: July 24, 2009 06:45:36 AM
What a wonderful start to the day!!  I can't really picka fav.  those are all wonderful and I one day hope to beable to 'free my mind' and spin like that, Zucchero_Filato.  What wonderful yarns!

SpecialKRJ, we all have to spin something, and I admire your braveness for spinning pill bottle cotton.  it's a cute little ball of yarn!

now onto me Wink I finally have had the energy to do anything fiber wise Smiley!!  yay second trimester!
No yarns just loads of dyed and one blended roving Smiley Shall be spinning this week!  or maybe more dyeing.. since I have pounds of white wool floating about...

Le piece de resistance!  My first in a series of World of Warcraft inspired yarns.  Of course I have to blend and or dye in order to get what I want, so here it is.  Shadow priest. haven't weighed it yet, but my guess is about 2 oz?

One huge stack of dyed roving, so much for solid colors lol.  I like em anyway Smiley  all but the blue are 1oz.  I have 5 oz of the blue, but only pictured 2.5oz

thumbnails of the individuals as not to bog down your computer:)

happy fiber friday, and happy spinning to you all!
