So. When I found out there was a desert auction to be held at the Concert For Cancer here in town, I knew I wanted to make something. I've been volunteering at a camp for kids with cancer for 7 years, This is a cause close to my heart. 3 weeks ago I found out a boy in town my sons age was diagnosed with cancer. This made the desire all the more strong. 4 years olds should not get cancer.... mind you no one should... But the funds raised are going to the family. Anyway. I made my delicious Chocolate covered strawberry cake. It fetched a whopping 450$!!!!!!
It wasn't the most expensive one, but it was by no means the least expensive!! In total our little town of 300 odd people managed to raise over 14,000$!!!!!!!! And I was glad to be a part of it!
