lol, that's all that is up in the carders heading.  Wanted: Pat greens debs delux.  Wanted Pat greens etc.... LOL   I'm at a point where I'll buy almost anything for the right price.... well, so long as it has about 90+tpi, then I'll get it.  Just impatient really.
I met a lady the other day while fabric shopping at the quilting store (an employee) who was in a fiber arts guild in the closest city.  They recently disbanded Cry  and she was going to talk to someone she knew about posible drum carders for sale too.  So I'm going to haunt that quilting store now lol

I tried to convince my friend to start an etsy store, but apparently it was a pain to do, he said "Seriously, I'm only going to do stuff like that for people I really like."  One of the prototypes exploded.
LOL!!  you are one lucky girl!
It's a beautiful spindle,  what a great feature, that little knob on the bottom!  And that yarn looks near perfect!  love the colors!

I don't know if you all have seen it, but I'm keeping my eye on the site for drum carders.  Looks like I'm about a month late on a Louet.....  But maybe another will come up soon!  thought I'd share my good internet find Smiley
7879  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Low Stress Fiber Swap Round 1 on: September 19, 2009 08:05:12 AM
Hey guys - Sorry I've been not so around. Smiley This week was busier than I thought it'd even be. My step-mom is home from the hospital and doing well though! Loving that pile of fiber! I wish I was around the block to come jump in with it also! & I updated the first page of this thread to show the partners who have sent already.

My first test was tougher than I thought it would be or I let the hard week take over, because I was really nervous and mucked up a bunch of answers for sure. If I make a 90 I would be thrilled but I have a feeling that I won't. That and I have 2 professors for one class who don't totally seem to have it together. It's felt a little distracting to have them trying to teach together. The school squeezed two small classes together and instead of taking one of the professors out, they told them they had to do it together. I realize they need their paychecks, but I feel like I'm getting the short end of the stick. Anyway, when we were reviewing for the test the professor listening to the review criticized all the wording of the examples that were being given and I let it throw me off during the test. Questioned everything I answered correctly and even changed some of my answers back to wrong answers. It would be so embarrassing to fail an art test!

So I'm going to do crafty things this weekend to try to keep my mind off of it. I don't think I'll find out what I made until Friday and it's making me feel icky!

oh SML.. I had a similar experience when I went to Fashion design school.  ALL of the teachers quit 1/2 way through the year, so they were replaced, but then the new teahcers told me I was doing everything "wrong"  (how you can design "wrong" I'm not really sure....and as for sewing techniques, well some of those are just personal preference) Anyway, I let it get to me too, and never went on from that first year.  Please don't let it discourage you.  Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and ignore thier "fighting".   I'm sure you know what you are doing, they just have to agree to disagree on some things, and should be adult enough to not bicker in front of the class.
Glad to hear the Step Mom is doing well.   have a happy crafty weekend!  Hopefully the hubby will take my children somewhere so I can have the same Smiley
