7702  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Re: September Felt-along - preparing for OCT 3rd. International felt-bombing on: September 11, 2009 04:51:34 PM
that tag rocks.  Is it mac compatible, or am I going to have to visit the local internet "cafe" to print those off?

It was made on a mac so it should be fine - there shouldn't be a reason why it doesn't work with mac or windows.
It was pretty easy to put together - but I knew I wanted something quite simple right from the start.

awesome.  I'll pm you Smiley
7703  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Low Stress Fiber Swap Round 1 on: September 11, 2009 04:47:34 PM
lol thread jumping Smiley
K.  Apparently the glauber salt helps to even out the color.  I've been having a terrible time getting a solid color.  Always parts that are white and parts that are insanely dark.  And the Orvus paste is suposed to help strip the wool of any left over lanolin or dirt, which can cause uneveness.  Smiley  Oh the things I learned!  so much fun!

Freestyle, I'm jello of your proximity to a fiber shop!  I really hope that drum carder is in one piece and working well!!  I want you to get it, so I have something else to jealous of!

7706  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: The random SPINNY babble thread :-) on: September 10, 2009 09:33:14 PM
So here it is in all its fibery goodness. 2 pots of dye (red and yellow for the big international day of felt)  Glaubers salt, Orvus paste(both of which are supposed to get me more even results, which will be wonderful!)  Tussah silk-2oz from the silk weaving place on granville, and about 5 oz (50grams each) of assorted colored merino wool from Shoppel Wolle on granvile island.  Yum Smiley
7707  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: My husband is addicted to these popsicles.... Let's face it; so am I. on: September 10, 2009 07:52:30 AM
mmmmmm those sound like delicious adult popsicles.. might have to find a mold and make me some.

Oh and LiveLongandCraft,  I'm in your boat.  Made 3 pies and I ate 2 of them.....  for some reason he just doesn't like the sweets either.
7708  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: My new favorite thing to do with chicken thighs. on: September 10, 2009 07:49:06 AM
some of the most delicious things come out of necessity.  What kind of squash did you use?  I'm sure any would work, but I'm headed to the grocery store today, and this might be tomorrows supper!
