7671  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Fill a me stocking because my DH isn't so good at that sort of thing swap on: July 28, 2009 11:26:00 AM
I will make sure that only persons who state that they are able to ship outside their home country are paired with persons who live outside their home country.

Don't forget ladies, just because someone on here says they are overseas and away from family does not mean that they are not in the US. I attended a University in the States with hundreds of students from Europe, Africa and Asia. They would be "overseas" and away from their families, and yet domestic shipping for us "Amercins" (said with crazy bad "southern" accent)

Don't worry about international shipping if you can't swing it. Surely there will be a few who can. Just because you have money doesn't mean you have a DH who isn't rubbish at gift giving! Does that make sense the way I meant? I hope so!

AND YEAH for all those who have found the thread and want to join. Anybody here willing to do co-organizing duty. If we have this much of a response on the idea thread we may need more than one!

LOL  I'm able to ship internationally if I have to.  Not that we are filthy rich or something, but I can ship out of Canada if need be.
7672  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Need help with Wedding dress on: July 28, 2009 07:43:44 AM
I skimmed the responses so far, and found no one mentioned this:
There is a panel that sort of covers the clevage, in between the low dip of the V neck.  You could change the color of that too.  And that could likely be done so it was not permanent.
Other then that I agree with all above comments.   The idea of a lace bolero in one of her colors would look stunning.   Just a simple cap sleve shrug even....   Add color somewhere.

what a terrible "friend".  I do hope you sisters wedding is a blast, and the other girls wedding is boring and something terrible happens to that dress.......  oops.... I didn't know I could be that mean and catty.......  I guess such atrocious things brings out the B*@($ in some....
7673  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Baby Bump Swap? on: July 27, 2009 08:15:10 PM
oh lala.. my bump is starting to wiggle Smiley  not due until January...  But I may be interested in this swap too....  to many good swaps being planned atm..... oy....I'll try to generate more interest over on the FOC board, where there is an off topic chat about pregnancy.  I think there are 4 others prego atm... I'll see if they are interested Smiley
7674  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Canadian swap? on: July 27, 2009 08:08:17 PM
I'm interested, but of course I'll have to see where I'm at when it starts.  I've put a limit on one swap at a time, unless it's and OTT or bookmark swap that catches my eye, while in a nother swap.. And I think I've got my september swap lined up already.. but who's to say I can't just change my mind,eh?

BTW,  I'm a Saskatchewanite Smiley   I know somewhere on the first page, someone asked.. just can't remember who now lol
7675  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Handspun Yarn & Fiber Swap Round 2 GALLERY on: July 26, 2009 07:22:04 PM
I'm spinning up this pink SSS with mohair and it feels never ending. It's only because the batts are calling my name. It's torturous. I'm almost done even though I probably still have enough in my stash to keep going. I just can't keep on. I may make it into a really funk art yarn. Maybe I'll use some of the beads penguino sent.

My daughter is running around the living room playing with about 2 feet of bamboo that I spun up. You would think I bought a million dollar toy she's so thrilled. It's pretty funny.

LOL SML, I'm so where you are right now.  I have about 2 oz of a 6oz batt on the second last of my bobbins atm......  It just isn't spinning as fast as I thought it would.. but then I guess I should probably not spin it soooo thin if I wanted it to be over with...
Anyway. LOL @ your Daughter  that's too cute.  My son loves when I give him left overs too...
7676  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Handspun Yarn & Fiber Swap Round 2 GALLERY on: July 26, 2009 03:40:09 PM

we should do a kool aid swap!!! lol
I'm liking that idea!

It would be sweet to do a Kool-Aid swap! Cheap to ship too.  Cheesy

well.... if you all are joining in on the "frequent low stress fiber swap" you could always exchange kool-aid through that too.  I know I have kool-aid but not all those flavours.  Blue is one I do have. And red.  But I know I don't have black cherry, pink lemonade,  lemonade... a few others out there too I'm sure Smiley

I have an ezthetics shop in my basement (its not a by-law here to not have businesses in the basement.  Don't worry I follow all the rules of proper sanitation.Smiley )  and right now have all my polishes in aa basket.  I may have to do this on one of the walls close to the pedicure bed...  just to choose which Smiley
