7641  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Crochet Challenge 8 Entry - Nesting baskets made from recycled plastic bags on: January 26, 2009 06:42:42 AM
did you bother to pin the grocery bags first? or did you just cut strips and begin to crochet?

Ooops.  I meant Spin, not pin.  Like on a drop spindle....

7645  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: kusudama on: January 25, 2009 03:15:32 PM
these would make a great bouquet for the enviro consious bride.......  Just put the flowers on sticks instead of into balls. OR  Make giant balls of these flowers.  AND  you get to keep your boquet in the end1  Brilliant!  Now I need to get married again.....  Not that I will, I love my husband.

I was actually thinking the same thing!  My sister is very eco conscious and loves origami, so I was thinking something like this would be awesome for her.  But I was thinking instead of adding a stick, it would be pretty as a pomander bouquet.

Now if I could just get that boyfriend of hers to propose. Wink

Mmm Pomander, thats what they are called, I forgot.  Thats what I ment by "giant balls"

7647  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Re: Smelly ball! (good smelly ball) on: January 25, 2009 09:08:46 AM
oh no...  thats definitly not good!!    I've made my cat wool balls without catnip and if anything she just felted it further.  Maybe they are tougher with it because of the catnip.   They want the innards so badly they'll rip it to shreds...  Thanks for letting me know its not a great idea to put catnip in it!

I'd like to use this idea to sell catnip toys but only with your permission  Smiley

As long as you don't live in North Western Saskatchewan, go hard!!  It's my plan too!  Everything I do needs to be made into a buisness... Stay at home mom you know?  Gotta make my cash some how!

Oh does it count if I get creative direction form the 3 year old?
