7591  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Secret Santa 2009 Swap Party (sign ups CLOSED; mail by 11/23/09) on: November 19, 2009 12:24:16 PM
I only over crafted a little bit.  A medium/large  (it's borderline) 2 smalls and hopefully 1 tiny, and of course a few things that add up to just a bit more then 5$.  The one other item I've tried to do over and over keeps failing and I am running out of patience for it... As for my supplies for the tiny, looks like I should just go ahead and make said supply, as the Postmistress just informed me that mail from the states is already taking an extra 2-5 days...... Hopefully sending out on monday still gets my package to my partner before the 19th..... though shipping in canada can't take that long....... hopefully...

I'm crafting along! I have things in various stages of doneness for both partner's. I hope to send Knickertwist's package off first as it goes to Canada and that usually takes longer than I like. I hate worrying about packages! Cheesy
Off to work on things!

shipping from the states to canada is taking an extra 2-5 days already.  I'm getting excessively impatient waiting on supplies that should be here by now...... Can't do tooo much crafting when the supplies are stuck in the mail!!  I'm glad that send outs aren't for another 2 weeks......

I'm so impatietly waiting my last minute supplies!!  I'm almost wondering if I should just go ahead and make the supply, but knowing the universe, I will make the supply and it will show up that day.... And not that having a little extra everything ever hurt.. I just hate to do all the prep for just one bit, when it makes such a mess and I should do alot instead of just one...  but I really want to ship this....  rrrrr.....  more coffee might make up my mind lol

okay. So after a good nights sleep and some time spent perusing Melvinators wists, I've calmed down and decided on a few projects.....  they might not be quite enough.... but I'll come up with a few more things I'm sure.

My wrapping is going to be pretty simple, basic even... but I try to get crazy pretty with wrapping, but it never turns out for me.. basic is just easiest.
Mykila, that could almost be anything..... my mind comes up with at least 5 things.. i'm sure there are more....

I am curious if it worked out to where any 2 DID get partner paired on this swap.  That would be funny to find out on 12/19.
Or if we all did...now that would be genious!

I keep thinking the same thing!  I'm content for now know who I'm sending too, but knowing now that someone sent already I keep making my hubby check the mail everyday.... i wonder how I can wait to open a pcakge sitting in my closet until the 19th....

Belladune I just read that you craft in a dungeon... I felt like I was crafting in a dungeon.  I have a 10'6" x 10'6" room that is my craft room. The lighting was so bad I literally had 5 lamps in there.  I finally complained to my husband and I now have a new fluorescent overhead light.  He just got done installing it... now to work on getting a chair to replace my card table chair that I have been using......

I'd love to have a nice big craft room - I have another 10 years until the boys start to go off to college... when they do I am totally going to take over one of their rooms and put my quilting frame in there.  That will free up half of my room!!  I'm actually taking down the frame this week - I need to clean the room and I'm itching to machine knit.  I physically can't get to the knitting machine with the quilting frame in front of it.  Yeah.  It's a sad sight to be seen... but it's all good at the end of the day!

LOL I do/did craft in a dungeon.  Seriously its the out of use cistern in our house. so it's about 8x8 and cement walls and a hanging bare bulb.  Most my crafting supplies are still there, and I still have my dress form in there, but I've moved to my recently renovated esthetics room.   So now I have pot lights and almost finished floors... I should probably change my thingy to "formerly crfted in a dungeon"  lol
