7531  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Secret Santa 2009 Swap Party (sign ups CLOSED; mail by 11/23/09) on: November 20, 2009 01:13:38 PM
settled on making the supply, dried quickly and finished up my package today.  Started to put the final wrap on it and realized my purchased items were still in the bag in my bedroom.... So I diligently unwraped opened and put the purchased items in and re wrapped LOL  I will probably hit the PO tommorow, but the package wont actually leave until monday, but it will go out first thing in the morning.  I hope my partner is not expecting beautiful wrapping.... I can do it basic and thats about it... and my 4 year old helped me...  He didn't want to part with one of the gifts either.... But I'll make him one and it will be okay Smiley
7532  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: The random SPINNY babble thread :-) on: November 19, 2009 07:30:21 PM
so I finally got to play with fiber (after going away and getting sick and all that fun stuff) and boy was it fun!  LOL  I dyed up a bunch of silk hankies that I one day hope to turn into a silk scarf, once I get a loom....  And some wool and it's just black, but it actually looks black!  I'm floored.... all the wool I've ever tried to dye black has turned out grey!  yay!

I only over crafted a little bit.  A medium/large  (it's borderline) 2 smalls and hopefully 1 tiny, and of course a few things that add up to just a bit more then 5$.  The one other item I've tried to do over and over keeps failing and I am running out of patience for it... As for my supplies for the tiny, looks like I should just go ahead and make said supply, as the Postmistress just informed me that mail from the states is already taking an extra 2-5 days...... Hopefully sending out on monday still gets my package to my partner before the 19th..... though shipping in canada can't take that long....... hopefully...

I'm crafting along! I have things in various stages of doneness for both partner's. I hope to send Knickertwist's package off first as it goes to Canada and that usually takes longer than I like. I hate worrying about packages! Cheesy
Off to work on things!

shipping from the states to canada is taking an extra 2-5 days already.  I'm getting excessively impatient waiting on supplies that should be here by now...... Can't do tooo much crafting when the supplies are stuck in the mail!!  I'm glad that send outs aren't for another 2 weeks......

I'm so impatietly waiting my last minute supplies!!  I'm almost wondering if I should just go ahead and make the supply, but knowing the universe, I will make the supply and it will show up that day.... And not that having a little extra everything ever hurt.. I just hate to do all the prep for just one bit, when it makes such a mess and I should do alot instead of just one...  but I really want to ship this....  rrrrr.....  more coffee might make up my mind lol

okay. So after a good nights sleep and some time spent perusing Melvinators wists, I've calmed down and decided on a few projects.....  they might not be quite enough.... but I'll come up with a few more things I'm sure.

My wrapping is going to be pretty simple, basic even... but I try to get crazy pretty with wrapping, but it never turns out for me.. basic is just easiest.
Mykila, that could almost be anything..... my mind comes up with at least 5 things.. i'm sure there are more....
