7491  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Life's too short to worry about offending someone (NSFW)! on: August 22, 2009 10:17:35 AM
you've inspired me.  I'm going to stich something simple for a friend of mine whos 4 yr old son is battleing cancer (Her boy is supposed to be in my boys class....)
My sister beat cancer at 5 (she'll be 30 in October!) and cancer has been a huge part of my life ever since.  And Although I can't say this at the camp I volunteer at (It's a cancer camp)  i sure think it all the time!
I join in the rally cry.. FUCK CANCER!!!

But I'm on a spinning/dyeing Block too.  Not that I don't have about 10oz of beautiful batts to spin up... Or more even.. I just keep getting myself into swaps and have only enough time to get those done... I really have to not look at the swap threads.....

oh yeah, I'm on Ravelry.. but I barely look......  But I only have one friend and its one I know in RL... so we already know what eachother is creating Smiley

It feels like fall already Cry So soup is on the menu, to keep us warm.  I'm going to have to try this one out before we leave for our vaca....  Sounds like things I'll have to buy, but they are mostly non-perishable. which is wonderful!!  Thanks for the recipe!

knkurz, Thank you for doing all that research!  I've been trying to figure what the difference between all the diffrent options are... and nothing I read would stick or really told me why I wanted 72 tpi vs 128tpi....  But now I know!  Thanks!
Also, thank you Cyndi, for your 2 cents.  Smiley Always very informative you are!  Going to google the Pat green Deb's Deluxe....  If you use it, it must be good Wink
