7374  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Read To Me Mommy Swap Signups CLOSED Sendout February 5, 2010 on: December 23, 2009 04:33:43 PM
I'm just thinking if I was to send a book worth 10$ I'd expect a 10$ book in return.  You know what I'm saying?  I guess it could just be a question in the questionaire:  "how much are you willing to spend on the book?"  I know some people think it's excessive to spend even 10$ on one book, and some just can't afford it.  But if the quality is there, then it's worth it imho.  I'd rather have something that's more likely to survive a toddler then not.
LOL I bet your thinking.. "geeze I hope she doesn't sign up"  I sound like a crazy... I swear I'm not, I've just learned in my year of swaping its better to ask questions then not.  That way we all know for sure whats up Smiley
7375  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Fill A Purse Round 5 on: December 23, 2009 03:04:06 PM
LOL "boring" instead of "low risk"  Grin  I carry well, and get pregnant to easily too, but deliveries make it so that this will be the last one.  They just want to stay for ever!

I know, it's daunting to look at all the galleries.... But there are some knit purses on there.  I'm still getting used to doing zips and pockets too, but they aren't as hard as they look!  just a little extra work Smiley

Itchy fingers, I love your personal text.. "stay at home baby machine working on model #4"  LOL  same boat.. only i'm on model #3 Smiley

On topic, wonder if I'll have time when this swap opens...  I love making purses and always have an excuse to have another... I'd like going out purse.... not that I get out... but it'd be nice to have one, just incase Smiley

I know I shouldn't even be looking here right now, as i'm about to pop #3.  But I really like this idea.  Would there be a set $ amount on the book, like even a high and a low, like say no less then 10$ no more then 20$?  I sell kids books with Usborne Canada and have a million great books that fit into that category, with totally craftable characters.  But the idea of having a high and a low would mean that it wouldn't end up that person 'A' send a great quality book, and person 'B' send a dollarama book.  See what I'm getting at?
If this was to fly in about 3 months (which is probably a long way off for most), or if there would be more then one round I'm in at some point.
7378  COOKING / Dessert / Re: New Englander's Egg Nog on: December 23, 2009 01:35:33 PM
