That's a big birthday Babs!  I hope you guys party hard!

So I moved my crafting room.  It is now in the room off the den downstairs, which make crafting while the kids are up a breeze!!!!!  this is wonderful.. why didn't I do it sooner!  With that being said, I'm about 40% finished my "medium" item for my partner.  I know she'll love it, it's on her list...  So someone out there, you are getting whats on your list!   Make that a few things on your list heheheee!
7203  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Homemade Robin on: November 03, 2009 06:56:01 AM
Great work!  My boys were Batman and Robin this year too!  Must be popular characters with that set.  Your Robin costume is 100 times better then mine.

Speaking of Birthdays, my hubby turns 31 on Sunday.  I'm making him a Pumpkin pie cheesecake, and some of it is going to be made into Cheesecake pops with caramel coating sprinkled with walnuts............

OK, cool.  Thanks.  I just hate ordering something blind and risking the money, you know?

Hopefully, I'll find some in the city on Sat.  Oh man, it is soooo wrong how excited I am that I get to go to town on Sat.  I'm not going down to Memphis, just over to Jonesboro, but, wow, it feels good to escape from this s******* county for a day.  Gonna have FUN!!!

It is soo not wrong to be overly excited to get away!!!!!!!!  It's really nice to get out of where you are if you dislike it.  I know... I'm in the same boat! I hope your trip goes really well, and you find everything you need and spend some great time away from your "s******* county" Wink

I haven't gotten the kids in to that yet... I think I'll wait until they are older...  I think this will be the last year for the kids with Santa.  They have already been asking questions so I think it's time to let the cat out of the bag.  They're 8(almost 9) and 7 so I'm surprised it has lasted this long....

I'm 27 and Santa still brings me presents.  I think its a good reason for mom to spoil us.

In a weird way, craft swapping has been keeping me sane. If I wasn't keeping myself busy, I'm pretty sure the waiting for baby would just about kill me. Whenever I start to feel panicky, I make something...so I may have some semi-spoiled partners!

Stellato, you sound like me.  If I don't have a craft in my hands i'm freakin' out. LOL  Well, that or surfin' craftster...   Good luck with your delivery and waiting out this last 1.25 months!!!  You've one less then me and I'm jealous!  i'm also wondering about names, what have you picked?

SarahJ2001, those trees are fun!!
7210  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / a caramel dipping sauce that would harden on the outside? on: November 01, 2009 04:49:00 PM
so for hubby's b-day I'm making him this cake: http://doughmesstic.blogspot.com/2008/10/happy-birthday-pumpkin.html
But I also want to make a few cheesecake pops, like these:   http://www.bakerella.com/cheesecake-pops/
Only I don't think Pumpkin cheesecake would go well with chocolate... So, does anyone know of a caramel sauce that would harden slightly on the outside that I could use for dipping?  i might even roll them around in some walnuts, but do want a bit of a shell for that candy crunch.
Any help would be great!
