Ohnoes!! sounds like you're having a rough go of it!! well at least most of it will be eaten (even if the cat got some!) and there is always try again once you find lard/shortening! And there you go, something new again.. who knew margerine wouldn't work either... well, not me anyway.. And here I am wanting to go to school to be a chef, and most specificaly pastry/baker...... I guess thats what school is for though right? LOL I hope your day gets better!
Glad you caught that bit before you used oil.... I'm no chef, and know very little about the difference in the fat, so I just assumed that oil would work the same, since the lard/shortening/whatev is liquified... I guess I'm wrong... But that's okay, Learn something new everyday!
