Most of it is for my level 6 Master Spinner in-depth study on ply structure and it's effects on fibre type and suitable end use!  The hemp is the only stuff that doesn't have much of plan for. Weaving maybe?

Thanks Mel!! If I was to have it my way for next year, I'd have an e-spinner, and crazy monkey motorized swift.  I think the biggest thing that slowed me down was my hips. By the end of day 4, I was feeling it! and it made the final 3 days a real challenge. And then emptying the bobbins as I went onto a niddy noddy took quite a long time. Especially the hemp singles... that was 890 yards!!

Day's 6&7, and the big finish!

That was a long slog!! 5721 yards is 5.23 km or 3.25 miles! Pretty good while still running the kids to activities, keeping the house in well enough order that it didn't turn into a dive, and going to work (one day..)

Day 4 and 5!

Plied up 4 singles of the Corriedale wool, and started a bobbin of hemp fibre.

Finished the first bobbin of hemp, and spun a second one, then started to ply them.

Day 3!
9 oz spun, 8oz plied.  My goal was 10oz spun, 12 plied, but that just didn't happen. but I came close! once this 4 ply is done, it's all singles or 2 ply from here.

It's that time of year again!  Spinzilla!!

Start with day 2, cause it's the better picture. Smiley  10 ounces of corriedale wool! all spun in under 5 hours today.

And day 1, was only 4 ounces, spun and plied into a 4 ply yarn, of Shropshire wool.  And I made a wicked meal for a spinzilla day... kinda foolish... but you know... it was delicious...

5 more days to go!
