5  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: Spinzilla 2014 on: August 26, 2014 06:45:08 AM
I've gone and signed up for Spinzilla, rogue spinner!!  I'll lead the team here, and am happy to say there will be PRIZES!!  If you want to donate a prize as well, let me know!

Prize list:

1- Craftster Mug!
2- Spinning fibre from SpinHeartSpin

So far that's it, but there could be more!

I'll get a team roster going for us, too.  To be a part of our team, you don't have to register officially with Spinzilla, just let me know here and I will add you to our roster. (I'm not sure why you wouldn't register, tho, since you can get prizes from them too!)
6  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: excited but need help! on: August 26, 2014 06:36:41 AM
You can spin anything. That being said, I'd probably go and find some top, or a batt made of Blue Faced Leicester (BFL), or Corridale. in a way, a batt will be easier to spin, since the fibres aren't so compacted.  What kind of wheel did your friend give you? Very lucky indeed to be given a wheel outright, that's for sure!

Do share what you make!
