I know Stargarderner has recieved, and that she's been very busy, so I'm going to put up pics of what I sent her.  I can't imagine working and parenting...  I can barely keep it organized and done just chasing my kids!!!

It was a great time making it for her, and was something I wanted to make for a while now. this swap just gave me an excuse to give it a try!

322  Rarwmmgurggulgurggul - Murloc coasters! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Belladune on: July 04, 2010 07:47:30 PM
Who doesn't love a baby murloc?
I made this set of 4 coasters for Dinosaurus Meg in the Be Awesome swap.   They also have a cozie that has +20 to frost resist on it , you know, once they've been chilled by an ice cold drink?  Those baby murlocs need to be warmed some how Cheesy

Coasters- embroidered murlocs, crayon tinted.
Cozy- wet felted and stitched with homespun to give it a more finished look.

323  CRIB SHEET turned pretty dress and then some! (PIC INTENSE!-8-) in CHALLENGE 52 ENTRIES by Belladune on: July 02, 2010 04:47:09 PM
So no one said there was a size limit on the size of sheet used.  While a lot of people seem to be using king flats, I went with the smallest fitted sheet possible!
I squeezed a dress (lined with the sheet) little booty cover, cute shoes (Inspired  by this post and the link there in  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=348768.0  )  A waist bow, and a headband complete with a flower made of scraps out of that sheet!  All that's left is stuff that went into my scraps to be spun bag they were so small.

Be prepared to Squeeeeee!!!!

To show the sheet before.  It is sitting on a double sized futon matress

One last picture of uber cuteness, just because I know you want to see it!

Don't forget to vote!

ETA!  I forgot to mention the elastic for the headband and the booty shorts came from the sheet to!! I used as much as I could off that sheet!  Oh and the shoes were hand sewn.  The big ones wanted play outside and I needed something to keep my hands busy Smiley

324  Re: Fiber Friday-June 25,2010 in Spinning: Completed Projects by Belladune on: June 25, 2010 11:20:55 AM
This is the yarn my 5 year old spun on my wheel. It started as pencil roving, so he didn't have to draft, he just controled the twist and treadled.

Future spinners yarn!

To show the variation in the color:

To show the variation in the twist:  not bad for a 5 year old really.

Package 1 From Missing Muse
the Everything (theres some of her poetry in this shot, which is really cool!  I love it!)

Painting she did tatoo-esque, Comic bioraphy whe copy edited, Knitting needles the color of her car, Favorite energy drink she uses to craft and paint all night long, Book Good Omens (apparently funny!)

Comic book from free comic book day (it has Fragglerock on the back too!  Deklan claimed this because he's getting into comics))  CD of her Favorite local artist (which I need my kids to be in bed to listen to, or stick it on the iPod, but not so much kid friendly (and thank you btw, cause I really apreciate something like that, cause sometimes people forget I'm a person and not just a mom, and you acknowledged it wether you ment to or not  Smiley )  Chocolate!!! Spicy yummy chocolate (It's not going to last much longer)

T-shirt with a killer (read cool) robot (Deklan was sad it's to big for him... ), Some spay paint, in hunter green... wonder what to do with it. Yarn!!! I love the color, and a timer (which she uses a tool to organize her day-Which is a brilliant idea I might use for those days I get distracted)

All in all a fantabulous package.  Gives me a few clues to how to make Package 2 AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much Missing Muse, so much killer stuff!

I made a clutchy thingy for my sister.  She's had a bad year... (yes the past 4 months haven't been good to her) So, I made her a gift which will go in the mail, and just show up in her  PO box as a surprise Cheesy

Here's a quick preview:

But if you want to see more shots of the weaving, I posted it here too:

329  pin woven little clutchy-thingy in Weaving: Completed Projects by Belladune on: May 11, 2010 08:04:06 AM
So, my sister is in the downy dumps. A lot of crazy things have happened in the past 4 months in her life, so I made her this clutchy-thingy.  I'm going to mail it out today and hope it gets there before I go visit.  It turned out way smaller then I thought it would... but eh, maybe she can put something in it?

I was inspired by this post:

and this thread:

Comments and critique welcome.. This is my first weaving project worth posting (there's another one but oooh... she's ugly...), and i know it's wonky in a few places, but eh... I'm learning!  Also, this has made my want for a real loom stronger...

330  birthday crown for my 5 yr old in Completed Projects by Belladune on: May 07, 2010 08:36:13 AM
I was inspired to make a crown for my sons 5th birthday by another poster on here,  but I can't find that post!
But here is mine!

He loved it!  The reason it says birthday man, instead of birthday boy, is because i didn't have the last 'y'  It is made of felt, craft foam, buttons and beads.  He love's my button collection and says "lululah!" (intead of ohlala!)  at all the fancy buttons when we look through it for the prefect button.  It was a great day full of surprises for him!
