2  An Apron in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by cathryn on: January 03, 2010 01:21:46 PM
I am a long-time lurker, this is first day posting some stuff I did recently for christmas presents. This is an apron I made for my boyfriend's mom. I'm super happy with it. It's long, and also reversible, with one side floral and one side unbleached muslim. Yay. Cheesy She also loved it a lot, and that's what matters most. <3 Hurray. Btw, that's me wearing it. Sorry for the junky pictures. My bathroom has terrible lighting.

3  First ever post~ A Book and some Bows. in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by cathryn on: January 03, 2010 01:14:27 PM
First time post from a loooong time lurker. <3 I love you, craftster, you make my life great. Here is some stuff that I do.

I made this book from scratch using a tutorial I found here: http://lenoki.deviantart.com/art/BOOKBINDING-TUTORIAL-part-I-105762746. I ended up giving it to my mom for Christmas, because she's always writing stuff down. My favorite thing is the paper, it's such a beautiful pattern. I got it at Michaels. Tongue

These are bows for presents I made out of the paper I had lying around after I made that book. I was happy with the way that they came out, and I loooove the pattern on the paper so much.

4  Christmas presents~ Feather hairpins, ornaments, christmas bows. in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by cathryn on: January 03, 2010 01:05:13 PM
So I'm a loooong time lurker, never posted to craftster all the time, but I make things all the time. I figured it was time that I started posting my stuff. These are some things I made for Christmas this year, and I'm not sure this is the right place to post them, but it was the best I could come up with, so here goes:

These two I made from some peacock feathers I had lying around, and some other feathers that fell off of my mom's chickens. They're both presents for my two friends who love peacock feathers.

And these are some christmas ornaments, one for my brother and his wife, one for my boyfriend's mom. I used a knitting needle to wrap jewelry wire, stretched them out, and then just wrapped them in thread. The blue one came out pretty wonky so I decided it could stay home until I decide to redo it.
