My first completed amigurumi! She is made out of some super saver yarn I had lying around. She was for practice.... obvious things wrong: her head is to heavy (too much hair!), her legs are too long, her joints are messy, and her arms and legs could have used a crochet size smaller to reduce the holes. However, all in all she was fun to make and learn where I can make improvements to my amigurumi making skills. Also, no pattern used for her or her dress! All in all I am still happy with her!

Thank you both! I guess the only way it differs is that I dyed my paper with food coloring before I cut each individual petal and used glue instead of floral tape. Also, my paper was just regular plain white computer paper. I don''t drink coffee so no filters lying around!

So... the best way to explain this, is that coffee filter roses inspired this. However I used regular computer paper, elmers glue, food coloring, and a bamboo skewer.

Did you happen to write up a pattern? I have been looking EVERYWHERE for a pattern like that... and in crochet!

My newsboy cap ended up to manly... and I need embellishment idea's stat!

If it were me, I would use a a LED bulb (have you guys seen those.... they look like a bulb but have about a hundred little led lights attached to it) It runs cool, uses less energy, and lasts longer. You can also get the bulbs in all colors!
