O.O   *astounded by the awesomeness*

LOOVE the House one. I will refrain from making jokes about how hot he is, and how he's perfect for a potholder. xD

Great job! I'm working on some applique for a top-secret xmas surprise for my husband (a WoW stocking) and I'm having a heck of a time with the embroidery outlines... yours is machine stitched or hand stitched? (sorry- just realized I hadn't looked that closely yet...) Either way, I envy your skill!
I don't hand sew unless I really, really, really have to. Wink The lettering is done on an embroidery machine, everything else is good ol' fashioned zigzag with a short stitch length and a width of 2-2.5.

I don't think real pedophiles are funny, but a giant cartoon bear pedophile on a potholder is funny, because of the absurdity. To me, anyway. You don't have to like it. It also cracks me up that Kanye interrupts your cooking to tell you that Emeril is better.

I really like those, and I give you props because I have seen those little fishtank gems on a lot of things, but you are the first one I've ever seen who's made them look classy and elegant.

Thanks all. You know what is ridiculous? I didn't realize until this thread how much corduroy had complicated things - I went with it because I have a really, really limited selection of solid, woven fabrics right now, and cord was the only one in which I had black, white, and a reddish midtone. But now that you pointed it out, yes. Cord is lumpy, and stringy, and frays something awful. You've gone and gotten me all excited about doing this again, but in Not Corduroy this time.

Thanks. There was a lot of photoshoppery involved before I could print a pattern. Yes, it's terribly fiddly applique - lets just say that I would happily have babies with Sulky Co as I am so indebted to their Sticky stabilizer, and their temporary sew-able spray adhesive.

So great!
I love the Stewart & Colbert...and...is that...Pedo Bear? LOL

It couldn't be, because if it were, Photobucket would not host the pic. Hence there is no closeup.  Wink Photobucket has some sort of magic thing that automatically tosses any suspicious bear photo in the trash, even if said bear is corduroy and wool.

Those look great! I bet they love them. I have little boys but they are forever toting things around in bags.

Thank you. I feel really good about it. I know they won't get the same thing from anyone else at least!  Cheesy

Thanks.  Cheesy Yeah, I don't love Ron Paul but my BIL really, really does.

This is for my parents for Christmas. They said they'd like wall decor for Christmas, but my budget this year is $0, so instead of buying a painting, I made this. 2/3 of my kids. I can't paint, or sculpt, or anything like that, but I can sew.

It is all machine applique, on hand-cut pieces. It is 16"x20" so they can frame it if they like, but if not there are loops on the back for hanging it on the wall with a rod or by other means.

Closeup of Gavin's eyes.
