I loved this post, because I was looking for a pattern to make this same stool you probably saw, and thought was expensive. I had exactly the same thing. So thank you for paving the way, my stool turned out wonderful and my mother (once again I knit a gift for my mother) loved it.

In The Netherlands we slice our cheese into thin slices using this kitchen untensil called a kaasschaaf. I stenciled an image of this thing I use so often onto a shirt in black and dark blue and embroidered it into a scene with a cyclops coming out of a hole the shape of himself using white cotton.

I loved emboidering this, I'm definitely making more scenes like this!

@stitch81: It took me about a month and I'm definitely not the quickest of knitters.

So awesome,you really shaped your stencils nicely so they're recognisable and nice and graphic at the same time, I love them. The spongy texture is also beautiful, I think.

I've been thinking about stencilling on fabric, but the tutorials I found made it seem like quite a hard job, but this way they look crisp as well, and you get that texture! I'm inspired now!

Very happy with this sweater, it's rugged but feminine and even though the yarn was rough before washing, it felt soft and lovely after (not cashmere soft or anything, but just nice). I'm a big fan of texture in my knitting now, and bobbles have inspired me to make my first design, but that's not finished yet. Here are some pictures of the sweater, tell me what you think!
