Hey there fellow crafters!  I don't know about you guys but I love vintage photos.  I always pick them up when I'm out thrifting.  I scan them so that I can use them for ATCs and art journals.  I thought you guys might like them too.  Let me know if you do, and I'll post more on here.

I whipped these guys up because I have dozens, er, thousands of little precut fabric squares.  Someday I plan to make a quilt with the squares but until then they are just gathering dust and need love! Made em with the yoyos, button and quilting clips.

This little guy was made of scraps from my jar and then emboidered.

This little gal was whipped up using magazine scraps and recycled tissue paper.

This is a little something I stitched up over the weekend.  Not only does it show my love for the late, great MJ but it's what everyone calls me.  Wow, so many hours of french knots...I'm crazy!

I love, love, love Mary Roach!  This little guy appeared in the book Bonk.  I couldn't help myself, a rat in underwear!? Who could say no to that?   I might even do a series with fancy undies, cause who doesn't like fancy undies?

An old coworker requested these for his house. He says they are for guests  I used a water soluble stabilizer on them but the terry cloth was still a pain.  I hate that thread gets stuck and pulls when the needle is being pulled through to the other side.....errrr   I figured the terry cloth would make the lettering look a little wonky so I just used my handwriting...and it does look wonky so I'm glad I didn't spend too much time agonizing over a pretty font.  Questions, comments, rude remarks  ?

I made this for my man for his birthday. He's a photographer and he likes owls, so I thought this would be perfect. I'm pretty sure that I got the pattern from a vintage embroidery pool on flikr... I just can't remember which one 
Unfortunately, it's starting to sag in the frame since I made it back in may. I was hesitant to use something like spray adhesive because I didn't want it to discolor over time. And I didn't leave enough extra fabric on the sides to lace it up the back (measure twice, cut once. Meh, just start cutting- yeah thats me)
Anyways, just didn't want you to think I would frame and give it to him looking that crappy 

For the eyes, I used glow in the dark thread from Sublime Stitching. As a photographer my DH was quick to point out the cloth over the camera should be black (ugh). I knew this, but the stripes were more fun, and they match his personality better.

For years I've decorated the light switch covers in our house.  I guess cause I see em everyday I've never thought about posting them.  Prompted by the little showcase of them last week I decided to throw em up on here.
This first one is in my bedroom. Its a picture of my man and I

In the hallway. The lighting for this was terrible (since Bob's light in the hallway shines green) so this is very washed out. On the actual switch it's nearly unnoticeable.  I had a roommate for years once before she realized Bob lived on the switch.

This is much closer to how it really looks, a little hard to see.
