11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap round 64-65 Discussion on: December 14, 2010 11:00:15 AM
I'm packing up a package for FinRaziel to go out tomorrow and I had to have my 3yo sit on the package while I taped it shut.  Cheesy

I wish I could be there to watch you open it, exploding with crafty goodness. Cheesy Cheesy

Oh my!  That's horrible!!  It appalls me, the things people can do sometimes.  Wow.

Dyed it blue with food coloring?!?  Really?  Straight food coloring?  Diluted with H2o?

Details, details!  Cheesy

On the convo about the hoops, I like the plain wood ones because I can paint them to match the stitchery.

Oooh!  I love this!  Such a great idea!

I'm so glad I only went with one partner.  I have a really good idea for the tiny little hoop and it's going to take some time working it out.  TONS of tiny little stitches.  <3

I received a fantastic package from Gala_Apples!  I received two leather cuffs in a gorgeous blue.  One reads: LEFT  The other reads:  RIOT  I've had these on my wist forever!  I love them so much!!

(sorry for the crappy, backwards webcam pic)

She also sent me three friendship bracelets that I need to have someone here to tie them on me and then snap a quick picture.  She was inspired by my love of food colors.  haha, I'm so silly.  One is olive, the other is eggplant and the last is a mustard/eggplant combo.  Gala, if you have a pic of these, please feel free to post if you get a chance before I do.  I really sucked at making these and it's nice to finally have some.

Cheesy  Thanks again for claiming me!

I'll need to do some serious stalking.  I've got an idea from my partner's wist but eh, it'd kind of obvious and I'm not totally feeling it.  I'm working stuff out in my mind before I bust out the needle and floss.

I'll need to hit up a craft store and pick up more gold needles as I'm not exactly where I put them the last time I 'organized' my craft area.  Roll Eyes

I use Minwax brand polyurethane that can be applied with a brush.  I always apply many thin coats, always letting the previous coat dry completely first.

I know there is an aerosol poly that will also work as a sealant.  I have never used the aerosol version though.

You're looking for a sealant, not a wax.  Hope this helps.

I knew who it was from the tiny thumbnail on the front page!  It's adorable.

Yay!  Team Coco!
