41  Re: OTT 21 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by elociNNicole on: April 02, 2009 05:06:38 AM
I sent to pinupmommy and she received but because she lives near a volcano  Shocked Shocked she has been unable to post pictures.

One of pinupmommy's themes was "FAWN" so this was how I crafted for her.  I needle felted this and it is about 3 inches tall (I believe, I do not quite remember how tall it is).

The 'base' is 4 x4 inches square.  I wanted to create a little babbling brook for it to drink from.

42  Fawn! Needle felted with love and blood. in Felting: Completed Projects by elociNNicole on: March 27, 2009 08:18:26 PM
Hiya!  Needle felted item #5, i think.  This one was made for the OTT 21 (one tiny thing round 21) and one of my partner's themes was "Fawn".  So, I needle felted her a fawn drinking.  I am happy how this one turned out.  A lot more so then the last objects I made.

On to the pics!
Specifications for swap were to be within 4 x 4 x 4 inches.  I was well within these specs!

I also made it a little babbling brook to drink from:

And this pic was taken with the last bit of natural light that day.  Colors are a bit truer here.  (at least on my monitor!)  Wink

Thanks for looking!  Grin

My last set of inchies from jiasaykea!  It was a little bittersweet getting my last set.  I would love to do another round of this.

Thank You, jiasaykea, I LOVE the beaded one!

I received my OTT from pinupmommy a couple of days ago and here are the pics!!!

She choose my 'wood' theme and made me this darling little container that is embossed.  It is very cute!

With lid off and the little trinkets it held.  A cute little sticker and magnet.  I didn't realize how odd this photo looked until now.   Tongue  sorry.

Thank You pinupmommy!  I love my OTT.

45  Re: Traveling Scarf Swap Gallery! (Round 2) in The Swap Gallery by elociNNicole on: March 21, 2009 01:25:23 PM
Here is my addition to cuppiecakes83's scarf.  (Sorry, I said I was going to post photos a couple of days ago and completely forgot!!!)  This was my first attempt at anything 'lacy'.  Yarn is some yummy hand dyed (unfortunately not by me) cotton.  It is mainly blue but with a little bit of green.

and one progress shot.  My addition is the top block and this picture provides more accurate color at least on my monitor.

Alrighty... After much inner turmoil, I finally completed my block on myklia's scarf.  I went with 'verdes' by Malabrigo (yummy yarn!) and a pretty simple doughnut cable stitch.

This second photo is a bit closer to true color (well at least on my monitor).  It is definitely a richer grassy green then the muted shades of the first photo.

I am still doubting the yarn choice.  At least I know its soft and scrumptious.  and it doesn't really matter anymore since I sent it on its way!!

Sorry for the short delay in adding photos:

Inchies from lukenlarry.  I love the cute little raccoon one.  (sorry about the glare!)

And some great little extras.  Love the little ants!

Great inchies from jellobird1:
Love the skull and crossbones and love the lady in the center (there is a lady there... wow I really suck at taking photos!!!!:

And some fantastic papers!  I really love the navy scalloped and the airy white one!  (I need more of these, where did you get them???)

48  Re: Magic Yarn Ball Swap Round 10 (Sign up 27th Feb - 12th March) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by elociNNicole on: March 10, 2009 12:33:02 PM
so, do all 100% of the 'hidden' items have to be knitting/crochet related?  I have quite a bit of 'jar of whimsie' type stuff that I would love to incorporate in my big ball.  (heh heh)

which may or may not include a cute little nun...  Cheesy  (sorry, me and the camera suck at taking pics of tiny objects... i have the coffee shakes.)

for size reference:

or a mini rubber chicken:

I will stop here... but I do have more.   Cheesy

49  Needle Felted mini bird and kawaii (???) cat in Felting: Completed Projects by elociNNicole on: March 09, 2009 06:13:22 AM
I made these for a swap partner and was really happy with how they came out.  Both were needle felted.  Sometimes I walk away from a project without poking myself at all (like with the mini bird) and other times I am literally a bloody mess by the time it is all said and done.   Cheesy

This mini bird was inspired by something on my mystery partner's wist.  Made with wool roving except for the feet.  Feet made with cheap craft felt.  Quarter for size reference:

And the closest thing that I think I could ever come to anything "kawaii" like,  Cat with a cherry on it's head.  I would use this little thing as a pin cushion.  I don't know if my partner will or not.  Everything but the 'stem' is made from wool roving.  The stem was made with a scrap of wool yarn.

heart butt:

HI!

I was recently in the "Mystery Partner" swap and my partner had this on her wist.  I just wanted to share with you what you inspired me to make her.  I cannot screen print... wouldn't even know where to begin... so I went with something that I am familiar with... felt!   Cheesy

Thanks for the inspiration!!!
