All I can say is "WOW"!  I received my package from greatlonggone today and I am still giddy and smiley about it.  She really spent a lot of time on these items! 

A lovely knit scarf with reversible cables.  It is so soft!  (And I am obsessed with cables!!)


A gray cabled hat.  LOVE it! 


An adorable faux bois pin cushion.  Love it so much!  It looks like a stump.  See all of the grain lines?  All of that is hand stitched!  amazing!


A cute little owl patch:


Something that was completely inspired by something on my wist!  This looks soooo much like the one on my wist!  I love the way they match up, the color swirls and the sharpness of the lines.  Bravo!


And I don't know if the tree paintings are my favorite or this next item which totally knocked my socks off!  (yep, I said it!!  )

LOVE these soooo much!  These are my first pair!  I have never made them or received them before!  I really do love them and they fit absolutely perfectly.

Well, I got a bit sidetracked from finishing up my eggplants today by a feverish baby.  (Only time he will slow down and snuggle is when he isn't feeling well.    ) But two of them are completely finished up and I felt like sharing with you all since I already tweeted about it.  (gosh, that sounds lame.)

I am almost done with my third and still plan on trying to finish them all up tonight.  (Fingers are crossed!!)

Okay, so I didn't want MareMare to be frightened of her scarf and she has a serious phobia of spiders so I redid her block.

Here is my portion of MareMare's scarf.  I am in love with this little spider right now!

Alrighty, on to the MANY pictures of the complete SPOILING gamergirl did for me!

Patterns.  A lovely cabled scarf and awesome little autumn leaves.  (I love scarves, cables and autumn is my favorite season!)  She did her homework!!!:


A knitting/ felt magazine!  Can you believe that this is my first knitting magazine?!?  YES!  And there is a pattern for a fulled bag that I was looking at on ravelry!  SWEET!  Lots of fantastic felting ideas!


This lovely piece is a needle roll for my circulars and then room in the back for some longer straights.  I love the glittery, purple fabric and corduroy rocks!  I love corduroy. 


Next is the item that totally took my breath away!  It is something directly from my wist.  A gorgeous little handmade bowl with a cut out for yarn to be fed through.  I hate it when my balls are bouncing all over the place.  (haha, had too, sorry.)

I am obsessed with mustaches.  (don't ask, I really don't know why!!)     She made me this awesome coffee mug with the stache on the side.  LOVE it!!


I really didn't have any stitch markers!  I always used a paper clip or scrap yarn... not anymore! 


Chocolate and Coffee.  Must I say more?? 


A cute little pouch (Did you make this too???  It looks sooooo professional!!)  and note cards!  I love notecards!  Can you ever really have too many note cards?  NO!  You cannot!   


I had to get these in because they are fabulous and I will make more of these after I use them up!  Little blank notes with coordinating envelopes!  I love these!  So simple yet they look so nice! 


And a group shot!  There are many things that I did not include on this post:  Buttons, kitty treats, toys for my kids (which they are playing with right now, btw), vellum stickers, sparkly pens, bracelets, hair clips, iron on patches... sooo much love stuffed in this ball! 



(Oh, and please excuse the date. Apparently, my son thought it would be a good idea to change it.   Ahhh, to be 8yo again.)

Finished up with LauPre's scarf.  My block is a very pretty Grren and Blue combo that looks less 'swampy' in real life.     Made with 100% merino Malabrigo worsted.  (yum)





and entire scarf so far.  (it is getting hard to take a pic of the entire thing!!)   


I will be shipping out tomorrow. 

I received an awesome thank you from AlishaMisha!  I love hats and this one is perfect!  And I have a really large bucket but it fits it perfectly!   

It is not an enjoyable experience trying to take photos of your own head.  I do not recommended unless totally necessary.

PIC HEAVY!!  PIC HEAVY!!  PIC HEAVY!!

I received an unbelievably awesome and thoughtful package from CRENDON!!  I cannot believe that this is her first swap because she sent me such an amazing package.  We have been communicating a lot (She knows things about me that few other people do!) and her package to me reflects that we really were seperated at birth!   

okay, enough of my babble... on to the goods!

1st thing I see when I open the box.  hmmmm.... odd.  okay....   


A pillbox!  I get headaches from everything.  The sun, cleaning supplies, food... I never have tylenol with me.  Well, I used to never have tylenol with me!  And best of all... What does it say? You ask because you can't read it from my crappy picture?  Why, it says "Groove is in the heart"  which is my anthem.      This made me giggle.  (Crendon, If you have a better picture of this, please share!)


I think she was a bit bummed that I am allergic to most metals and couldn't do some beading for me so she made me this lovely keychain with gorgeous beads and a charm that says "Family" at the bottom.  (Again, sorry for the crappy pictures!!!)


Do you know how hard it is to take a picture of the side of your own head?  It is very difficult!  This was the best I could manage!  This is directly from my wist! (the pill box was also there)
A lovely headband with the feather detail on the side.  I adore this piece.  The rest of my family thinks I am crazy but whatever.  I think it is fabulous.


And the object that almost made me cry.  (I sniffled, I swear!  I am just not a crier.  )  A very personal handmade book.  I love this so much.  She spent so much time on this and is so tailored to me it is *almost* scary.  (Not really)

I wish that everyone could feel the texture of this book!  I am such a tactile person and this is perfect for my 'touchy feely-ness".  It is a joy for the senses.  Now I can stop touching strangers' winter coats.  haha..
