1  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap 64 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by elociNNicole on: December 10, 2010 07:47:03 AM
I received a fantastic package from Gala_Apples!  I received two leather cuffs in a gorgeous blue.  One reads: LEFT  The other reads:  RIOT  I've had these on my wist forever!  I love them so much!!

(sorry for the crappy, backwards webcam pic)

She also sent me three friendship bracelets that I need to have someone here to tie them on me and then snap a quick picture.  She was inspired by my love of food colors.  haha, I'm so silly.  One is olive, the other is eggplant and the last is a mustard/eggplant combo.  Gala, if you have a pic of these, please feel free to post if you get a chance before I do.  I really sucked at making these and it's nice to finally have some.

Cheesy  Thanks again for claiming me!

I received a fantastic package from MommyTheMaid.  She claimed me for ornaments and craft felt.  I've quickly come to realize that one cannot have too much craft felt.  Cheesy

The ornaments were inspired by something on my etsy favorites:

And I know a picture of craft felt may not be exciting to all but I was excited to receive it!  Cheesy Cheesy

Thank You, MommyTheMaid (and I apologize for taking FOREVER to get pictures up.)

This is the mysterious sticker that I got that I cannot figure out what it's for.  I have several friends that are participating in this project and I'm the only one that got this:

(Pardon the backwards, webcam photo.)

Any ideas what this is?

wow!  Great packages!  (I don't know how I missed the gallery too.  ::shakes head::  I've been stalking craftster like mad since this swap started!)

I received my amazing package from Dawl today and will be posting pics in a little bit.  Cheesy  Right now!

Dawl made me these awesome mustache etched beer glasses.  Do you have any idea how tempted I was to see how they look with beer in them...at 9:30 in the morning?   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  I didn't but I seriously thought about it.

And what made me say "Awwwwwwe" outloud:
My dearest kitty, Izzy, recently passed away from kidney failure.  She was only 2 1/2 years old.  Such a little baby and I miss her so much.  I'm wearing this pendant right now and I look down and smile.

(I couldn't get a better picture, so if you have one, please post it!)

This is the picture used for the pendant.  (This was taken the first day we brought her home to live with us.)

Thank You, Dawl.  I couldn't be happier with this amazing and thoughtful package.  <3

Back:

I LOVE my ott!  (And the adventure it went on to get to me!)  Paper spontaneously combusts if I even look at it.  I love that you made me something that I could never, ever, ever make.  Thanks Kim!  I can't wait for the next round.  Wink

7  First Rule of Fight Club (er, Project Mayhem) is... PIC HEAVY! in Needlework: Completed Projects by elociNNicole on: April 04, 2010 12:21:17 PM
Hi!  This was my first attempt at anything stitching related.  I wanted to make something for my husband and he really isn't a hat/scarf person and it had to be something interesting to keep my attention.  We just happened to watch Fight Club a while back and inspiration struck!

(Favorite picture of it's progress)

Just keep stitching...

All stitching done...

A little bit closer of a shot...

Coloring details in.  (I wish I would have just done the people.  Sad  Oh well.

All done, before framing...

8  Re: IYP 14 gallery of fabulousness!! in The Swap Gallery by elociNNicole on: December 11, 2009 01:26:20 PM
Okay everyone, RhymeswOrange is truly amazing and has sent me another unbelievable package!  I cried.  Really, I did.  I can't wait to put the kids to bed, snuggle up in my beautiful quilt with some hot chocolate (maybe wine) and my knitting.  It has been extremely cold the past couple of days and this will get some great use... like right now actually.  Smiley

I am not tall enough to get the entire quilt in the frame:

And you know its awesome when the cat flops down on it just moments after laying it out!  Smiley Smiley  (sorry for the blurry pic.)

Thank You, RhymeswOrange!  You are amazing!

9  Jack Skellington felt 'portrait' in Needlework: Completed Projects by elociNNicole on: October 31, 2009 09:50:52 AM
First off, I apologize profusely if this is not the right spot for this.  I used a needle and couldn't think of anywhere else.  I did see some other felt pieces so I went ahead and posted it here.  I don't feel like it has a leg to stand on compared to some of these beautiful embroidered and cross stitched pieces.  But here goes..

I made this for a swap and am pretty new to the whole stitching scene but was very happy with how this one turned out.  It is constructed of craft felt.  Everything was stitched by hand.  It is in a 5 x 7 inch frame to give size perspective.  I reused an ugly plastic gold frame that I had and just painted it black and then sanded a little bit off and then put two coats of polyurethane on top.

This was a little bit of teaser for my partner but it shows a closeup of the stitches and the different layers of felt.

 Cheesy  Happy Halloween!   Cheesy

10  Re: October 2009 Birthday Swap Gallery/discussion in The Swap Gallery by elociNNicole on: October 23, 2009 06:43:37 PM
I received from Belladune today!!  She was a total sweetheart and claimed me even though she isn't an October Babe.  How awesome is that?  .

She sent me, beautiful roving for my needle felting.   Wink

A lovely felted bowl which she said was her best!  You must teach me your ways!  Was this wet felted?  I LOVE it!

And a darling bracelet which I absolutely adore!  I can't wear metal, so I rarely wear jewelry but I will totally rock this piece.  It is uniquely classy and it pays homage to my love of fiber.  Great colors too.

Thank You so much Belladune!
