I love, love, love your bags.  I really want to try this too!  ...Unfortunately I'm working full time, teaching 2x a week, and taking a class with a lab, so I don't have the time... Cry

Beautiful work, though.  Do you sell your bags?  If not, you should!

Hee hee hooray!  I somehow managed to lose my copy of the book while on a trip out of state, but my new one just arrived in the mail.  Thanks for the alert of the Amazon.com sale!   Grin

That's really pretty!  I love the yarn - what kind is it please?  Nice job.  And it compliments the bunny's shirt quite nicely.   Smiley

So I was reunited with my camera (I had left it in another state), and so am now posting pictures of my bear:

It was my first non-scarf and non-hat project, so it was definitely ambitious for me...and it certainly didn't come out perfect (I lost track of exactly where the sides of the legs were to line up the ears, so it looks like he's slightly turned....) and I had some trouble with the face, but the person I gave him to absolutely adored him.  So, happy ending.   Cheesy

Ohh, so cute!  Yeah, my 'bear' ears looked more catlike than anything else.  Nice job (and your daughter is super cute too!)

ps I keep misreading your name for "amoebababe"

Yes, a YO is the act of bringing the yarn forward so that when you knit, it crosses the needle before being stitched.  I haven't done this pattern yet, so I don't know for sure, but it seems to me that you first bring the yarn forward, slip one stitch, knit 2 together, and then leap frog the slipped stitch over the 2 stitched together, and then repeat.  I hope that helps?  Huh  Good luck!!    Cheesy

I made the bear!  As I'd only done hats and scarves before, it was definitely a challenge...and it came out with um some quirks - the ears and the legs weren't in line, so it looked like he was turning...but he's still cute, and the person who got him loved it.  I took pictures, but I left my camera in another state, so as soon as I get it back, I'll post 'em.  Smiley
