1  Re: Projects from "Last Minute Knitted Gifts" in Knitting: Completed Projects by lani on: March 12, 2005 02:29:30 PM
So I was reunited with my camera (I had left it in another state), and so am now posting pictures of my bear:

It was my first non-scarf and non-hat project, so it was definitely ambitious for me...and it certainly didn't come out perfect (I lost track of exactly where the sides of the legs were to line up the ears, so it looks like he's slightly turned....) and I had some trouble with the face, but the person I gave him to absolutely adored him.  So, happy ending.   Cheesy

...and a couple of close ups...

(this one was supposed to be a gift, but...I like it so much, I think I'm going to keep it and give something else!)

The color isn't really coming out well in this picture...I think it's clearer in the one where I'm wearing it.  It's a really pretty mohair double strand yarn, with one piece that's dark purple and fuzzy, and the other one changes color from greens to yellows to purples and back...so nice.  It's supposed to be for my mom, but I keep finding reasons why I should keep this one and knit her another one.  Jeebus.  I never knew it would be this difficult to give away my gifts!!

w00t!  I got a digital camera for Christmas!!  *bouncey bouncey bouncey bouncey*  Yay!!

It's also good timing - I haven't sent off my family's gifts yet.  So now I can take pictures of them!  Hooray!
I did the purl scarf (minus fringe - I forgot to save enough yarn for it), lots of Kim's hats, the airy scarf in purple/brownish yarn (modeled by my roommate, and me in the airy scarf):
