My old boss is having her first kid. I am crocheting a baby blanket for her. I really really really want to put a cute classic swirly lollipop on it. I have searched alllll over this site, googled the heck out of it and have found no patterns. So I figured someone on here must know how to make one. In my head it seems simple, right However, I am very new to crocheting and have a one yr old boy who is now walking and thus destroying the household. So what I can do has to be done at night and quickly. I can single, double crochet and do that weird magic circle thingy. Oh and I can't read patterns. Trying to learn but I'm super visual so yea. Any help would be awesomeness and most rad.

So I need help! I had this crazy idea to make/decorate my sons 1st bday cake. I'm going to make him his own mini cake but I wanted it to be sweet and healthy. I have tons of infant cereal and he loves carrots, bannanas and well why lie, if its food he'll eat it lol. If anyone can think of any super easy healthy recipies for me thatd be awsome! So I already purchased the stamp to make my sons party invites, but then I thought "Hey, why not try and make them in photoshop?". Now I can't decide if I like either of the ones I made and for that matter how they'll print out. Any suggestions would be awsomness!

I suppose this would go here. I still dont know if I should make it black and white though or make it look like an old photo. please leave comments and such. I havn't worked with photoshop in such a long time so if you see flaws and/or if you know how to fix them feel free to tell me, nicely enjoy

So I told my mom I would make a necklace for her. She wanted a long one. I ended up making two. they go together as you can see. The only problem is my crimp beads seem to have disapeard. So i can't put a clasp on either yet. Anywhoo please tell me what you guys think













update: A. so being all stingy with my money I decided to forego the crimper pliers and try and just use good old needle nose pliers. I was quite proud of myself, I even put nice crim covers on the necklace. Well apparently I failed and my mum was taking the longer necklace off and the wire slipped out and a few beads fell. So is there a way to use needle nose pliers to erm crimp crimp beads *shudders, i hate redundancy* or would it just be easier for a novice like me to suck it up and get a crimper?
   B. Do my designs just totaly suck or what? I posted this awhile ago quite proud of it and have only revcieved on comment. I would really love some qruitiquing because i am debating doing jewelry as a side buisness.but if my designes suck or something it wouldnt be worth  my time.
C. forgive my spelling my cummputer seems to thinkthat everytime i type in the box the scroll bar needs to go eratic.
 

I started working on all of these scrapbook pages for the grandmas. But seeing as my son refuses to allow me crafting time I have just been doing them on photoshop. I'm hoping they will start to get better but for now I'm rather pleased. anywhoo this is the halloween one. my son was born oct 16th 08 so halloween has become much more special to us now.

Went through the zillions of photos I have on my computer and came across this one. I want to get it printed to see if I really want to edit it at all. But for now I'm happy. Just a random portrait btw. I sorta have a thing for profiles.

Due to my infant son I am no longer able to break out my paints, pastels and such whenever I feel the whim. I've been playing around on different artistic computer programs to feed my need for art but avoid the mess. ( 7 month olds going through separation anxiety plus oil paints don't mix FYI) anywhoo I made this with artweaver. I'm still getting the hang of this newfangled computer art thing (I'm only 24, so it really shouldn't be newfangled to me). My fiance seems to think i should change the colors to a dark orange background and have the circle thingies be blood red. but then again he seems to suggest that for everything I do. anywhoo,enjoy and please to critique. it's not the best image. I had to shrink it quite a bit for it to upload. just imagine it a touch brighter and sharper.

I have been working on this image for awhile. I have a digital camera now and photoshop so I can't bear to delete any photos seeing as I can "repair" even the worst photos. Something feels off though. If anyone has any suggestions as to what the image needs I would love some input. I was thinking about putting a profile of a crow in the center. oh yea, and the text is definitions of crows and such. It's meant to be a poster size image thus the itty bitty text. enjoy:)
