I live down the street from a day care and they threw out this awesome Lego table. It's pretty hefty, so I'm thinking it's made of real wood. My house is super tiny so there's no place for it inside but I thought it would be a cool little table for sitting around outside.
As you can see, it's all pitted (from years of Lego's being banged into it, I'm sure), so I want to repaint and refinish it.
It currently looks like it has some kind of glossy finish on it, I don't know if that's just the paint or what.
Anyway, I've never done a project like this before so I'm asking for any advice!
I'm guessing I'll want to sand it down before I paint it? I like the wood base, if it's glossy do I need to worry about refinishing it? What kind of paint should i use? What kind of finish?
Like i said, any advice is appreciated!
