8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: gryffindor scarf on: November 22, 2008 11:33:55 AM
wow, first ever!!!  if you could only see a line-up of 95% of the craftsters' first scarves,  including mine, you'd be very very very triple super proud of your first project/scarf!!!  in the round is where it's at then. every scarf i've made has some slight variations on the edges when changing colors, so this is the tip of the year for first multi-color scarvers everywhere....."knit it in the round!!!"  looks amazing! yay!!!

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: I'm a Proud Guy who Knitted Mary Jane Booties!!!! In pink, no less..... on: November 21, 2008 08:16:06 PM
i almost started the second one over too!! it wasn't quite symmetrical to the first. but i realize that it's the charm of making something by hand. there's always a little flub or quirk in every hand made item. wouldn't be as fun if it was perfect!
thanks for the anecdote!
