1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Send off basket ideas please!! (I searched and I searched . . . ) on: June 28, 2007 08:12:23 AM
I want to put a basket of goodies for the bride and groom in the car for their wedding night.  Here are the ideas I have so far . . . any other ideas?  Or if you know of another thread about this, let me know. I searched and came up with nothing!

Here are my ideas so far
Wine or Champagne with cheap glasses
Snacks (I'm sure they won't get enough to eat at the reception)
Water
Bubble bath
Lotions
I found this cool "Emergency chocolate" that is funny
Gum (it's called Frenching gum- complete with pictures- so hilarious!)
Fruit

Any other ideas???  I don't think they'll want condoms . . .  that's the only other thing I could think of.
2  COOKING / Dessert / Race car Cake on: January 18, 2007 06:53:02 PM
I made this cake for my son's 4 year old b-day
He's in love with the Cars movie so a race car theme was perfect! I got the  idea from a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake I found online.

I was really excited that the inside turned out pretty good.  I wanted it to look like a checkered flag

Here's how I did that part

You take out the cans to bake

I cut each cake in half and stacked them so the colors would alternate and look sorta like a flag!
3  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Quilting letters? on: January 10, 2007 09:21:05 AM
I'm looking for a site or if any of you know how to sew in letters to a quilt.  The name is Melana so I thought it would be easy to use capital letters and put one letter per square or something.  Hopefully this makes sense . . .  I'd love any help you can give me!!!!
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Cars movie pillow- Lightning McQueen on: December 29, 2006 09:29:20 AM
My son LOVES the Cars movie and Lightning McQueen (the main character) so I made this pillow for him.  I think I put the whole thing together in the wrong order and it caused me a bit of trouble.  My process was to do one of the big squares then I put the checkered pieces all around then attached the other big square.  This made the corner part very hard.  I'd like to make this kind of pillow again so if anyone has a better process, I'd really appreciate it!
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Snowflakes dipped in Wax (complete w/ photos) Folding tut added on: December 01, 2006 12:05:40 PM
Thought I'd share my most recent project! I love, love, love making snowflakes!!!  Here they are!

After dipping them I set them on wax paper and poured glitter over them while they were still wet.
Hope you like!

7  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Call me crazy... I want to make a beekeeper's outfit on: October 09, 2006 03:18:21 PM
I thought I'd throw this idea out here since there are so many smart, creative people on craftster.  My husband and I are trying to think of really unique costume ideas for Halloween.  We're thinking of being beekeepers and having our son be a bee.  But I need your help to make the hat for the costume.  The ones I've seen have hats with long screens and cost way too much!!  It seems simple right?  I would love any suggestions you might have!!!!!
Thanks!
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / my new "DIVA" tote on: September 24, 2006 06:54:45 PM
Here's my latest tote!  What do you think?  I was inspired by some other cool craftsters and tried the vinyl cut-out.  How fun!

I made this using Jordy's wonderful tutorial.
10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / <<<< Workout Bag >>>> on: September 19, 2006 03:14:27 PM
Here's my new tote for the gym.  It holds my iPod NANO in the front with an opeing for the plug.  Inside there's plenty of room for a book, my headphones, gym membership card, and my inhaler.  I hope you like.  I'm now debating if I should sell it or use it!
